Anyway, beckett 4 is up. With another code.
Although, as far as I've been able to tell from quick look I gave it - it doesn't give a hint as to the password to use.

It's been fun to see it move so quick again tho. Cool

Also saw Shrecknet online, and I get the impression he's not liking anyone anymore. I sent a quick IM - and he immediately disconnected. Should I feel hurt? Confused

You're really rocking these encryptions Wulf, I didn't even see them come up and you had them solved. ^^

Here's what I think is happening in the story, based on all the little tidbits we've gotten so far:

Sara saw a mortal man (Jonah) whom she wanted for herself. She wanted him to be immortal and be with her forever. She had the Ventrue lord Embrace him, so that they would be at a similar power level. It's also possible that she had the Ventrue lord change both Jonah and Sara at the same time.

Jonah was already married, so he didn't want to be with Sara. Sara got pissed and killed his wife. His son was saved by the servant. I think the son was Jonathan's father, based on a code solved a little while back, about "Sara's lover had killed by his grandson".

100 years after Jonah was sired, Jonathan came along and ate him (diablerie). Why he did this... Who? knows? My current guess is that Sara had something to do with it, and is currently trying to "Rewrite" history and turn Jonathan into Jonah so that she can get her lover back.

EDIT

Just a side note, I found out today that there are Paladins in the Sabbat, so the emails that were posted from E.M. Rathe may be from Sabbat and not a human group like originally thought. That would make sense with what's going on with Jon.

Re Sabbat Paladins:

Here's the deal. The Sabbat use the Church's hierarchy so you have titles like Bishops and Cardinals and so forth. Their protectors were called Paladins sometimes due to that. It was certainly never meant as a reference to the Society of Leopold which was an entirely different thing as mentioned before.

Re Sabbat ideals:

The Sabbat believe in Caine. Camarilla always had an interesting way of thinking about Caine and the Antediluvians. While everyone would trace their lineage back to Caine (and more specifically the Ventrue always took pride in their Generational stats), the Camarilla did not believe in Caine's return and the Elders of the sect kept to themselves whatever information they had about the end of days. Ironically, while they publicly disregarded most speculations they still allowed the stories to spread as a way to keep the Neonates in check.

Now the Sabbat always believed that Caine was disgusted of his Childer living in secrecy (ie Masquerade) and believed that only when vampires rise and become once again the top of the evolutionary ladder as it was long time ago, would Caine be pleased and reward everyone. So that's what they strived for. The Sabbat always knew Caine would eventually return and, if still displeased, would reclaim all his Sons. They believed that if they rose to the occasion they would be spared while the Camarilla would be destroyed.

Of course when the Time of Judgement happened...err..let's leave that until after the conclusion of the game. Wink

Whew!! I missed a couple of days & there seems to be a lot I missed.
Nice job on all those encryptions Wolf! See, I knew you were just modest... Wink

I have a couple of stupid questions I hope someone can help with -
1. What is Beckett - Gangrel? I remember him shapeshifting into a wolf when he & Jonanthan were trying to escape the Society...
2. In the line "the castle was beautiful in its day"; is that a reference to that castle in Germany?
3. If Sara is trying to resurrect "an old flame", why choose the grandson(Jonathan)? Where is Jonathan's father, Jonah's son in all of this?
4. Italy??? Is that new or has it come up b4?
