I'm still thinking there's something significant we missed. Maybe it isn't a clue in our existing materials, maybe it's entirely new materials, like a new website or video. Has anyone tried Google / YouTube searches for all TIMM's myriad keywords and catchphrases recently?

There's no way. Much as I wish that my first ARG wouldn't just die like this, I can't believe that it's something on our end. I mean, we haven't heard from Chuck for a long time, the MTC number is down (I just called it), and so on and so forth.

Confused

I'd love for some sort of closure though.

Sounded like a perfectly reasonable request to me. If the game has ended, and they still refuse to even tell us so (much less reveal the ending), the only explanation I can think of is that it's some kind of corporate ad campaign that lost its funding. In other words, we no longer have the potential to help the PMs turn a profit, so there's no reason for them to continue to acknowledge our existence.

Of course, it would break my heart if that were the case. I sincerely hope they tell us something soon. Even if all we get is a quick note from someone in the PR department saying "Here's how the story would have ended. Drink Pepsi!", at least it's something. A little closure is all I ask. Sad

I still haven't received a response back but I think its safe to say that we can go ahead and stick a fork in this thing because it is done. I really loved working with all of you during this whole thing. It was one of the coolest things I have done in awhile and I wish I got to see it play out. The Central Park meetup was awesome and I really loved getting to meet BigT, Relia, TreasureHunterN, TheRyuujinMike, and everyone else that came. I probably won't get involved in another ARG because I seriously spent too much time checking this site every 5 sec to see if anything happened, haha. All that aside this was a truly unique experience and I wanted to thank all of you for being a part of it

Watch right after I post this Chuck is gonna twitter and I'm gonna look like a fool, haha

Why, TIMM, why. Sad

I made some very cool friends here -- this makes me so sad.

Or is filming really the point? Where do you take this thing? Bigger. That needs showing off the results so far to the money people. "Look we can make this happen! Give us a chance to take it further."

i think this is the key. everything they've done so far was an "experiment" not from a "social experiment" standpoint, but a "can we do something that will get us some big bucks from some corporate sponsors"

i don't have any experience in the "getting money from corporate sponsors" business, so maybe it just takes a really really really long time and in the meantime they've got no time left to actually continue the game they're trying to get funded.

i mean, you could have chuck tweet "hey guys i ate a sandwich, also i am broke" every day. i might prefer that.

I have a hard time believing the "social experiment" excuse in general -- in my experience, this usually follows a pseuicide. ( http://wiki.fandomwank.com/index.php/Pseuicide ; http://www.journalfen.net/community/fandom_wank/1032470.html )

Are you accusing TIMM of being a case of ARG Pseuicide? (Because that would be awesome.)

That's kind of deeper than I really meant, which was it was work shopping an idea for a larger production. They have made films about existing fraternities, and perhaps now are testing out the creation of one. Like how the creators of Blair Witch fed their actors information but left them guessing about most of it. If it is leading up to a more complex production, much budgeting and planning would be needed.

Come on PMs please tell us where you were going with this so we can have some sort of closure.

Synydyne, If this was all for another film project TELL US. I can guarantee you we will be talking up your film well before you can get a marketing plan together.

If there was an end to it, please tell us, or let us know that you're still working on getting funding. This was an amazing experience, I'd hate it to end without some kind of closure.

Iwonder if the TIMM PMs know that it is not a violation of the TOS to post here about a game they are PMing once the game is no longer running. As this game seems to be done, maybe they could just post something here. If they want clarification or confirmation of the TOS ,as I'm not an arbiter of the rules, I'm sure any site admin would be happy to oblige...they could contact spacebass, xnbomb, imbri, scrappy, gupfee, giskard or vpisteve.

i dunno... the accounts are still active, they've actually responded to quite a few of my e-mails/messages in a rather "ARG IS STILL GOING ON!" sort of mode... i dunno what to think anymore... i followed this ARG, contributed none... if they tell me anything, or if they don't message me back in the next few days upon my last request, i'll post aboot it.

I don't understand why you're cutting bits out. Is it because it contains personal info of yours, or something?

to be honest, the only thing i can say besides what i posted is that i've been asked to not post or talk about any personal information from the messages... which is about 99% of the messages to begin with. i've showed mouse a few tidbits (he's on these forums somewhere...), mainly because he lives a good 5 mins bike ride away, and he's a really good friend, someone i can trust with things like this. the accounts ARE alive, and have some activity on them. the most you can know is that. you'll have to trust me, and mouse on this.
regardless, you guys at least know my name ;3

OK.

But that's still really sort of weird.

You can do what you like, of course, but I guess I just don't get what THEY'RE doing, and it sort of makes me not want to wait anymore.
