GIF could be seen as the web ancestor of JPG (or SWF for that matter).

This pointed towards anti, therefore the two clues together probably were pointing towards anti.gif, and you all were too fast. Smile

actually if you just to \anti , you will get a CSS file which shows you the way to anti.gif

btw, thers 14 pages and i havn't went through it all, im sure the magic cube, prince rupert and all those stuff have been said many times in this thread, maybe you should edit the MAIN post and add ALL the info we have so far on it?

Anyone think maybe they just changed anti from a JPG to a GIF because it was using too much bandwidth? Think about it, the JPG was 2MB, the GIF 374KB, a mass number of visitors, that could do some damage. Besides the fact you guys attacked their FTP lol.

lost - hl2 crossover

http://www.eeggs.com/items/51302.html

an easter egg in hl2 e2 with the "lost numbers"

anyone played hl2 ep2 with the commentary? they say the makers of hl2 are fans of lost and met jj and promised an easter egg in half life.

also valve has been giving fans pretty much a free pass to use their copyrighted property.

this could explain how there are both lost and valve/hl2 references without any litigation between the two.

Harkyone posted a link a page back with some interesting info. concerning that webpage. In case someone might find these useful, here is the most important bits.

Just wanted to also note that this thread has been very engaging so far. I've read each and every post, and agree that one should do the same before posting anything to keep the redundancy down. Great film though. It's just too professionally done to be a fan-made project.

Oh yeah, note sure what page it was posted on, but someone else directed readers to this photo album http://www.flickr.com/photos/trtl4/3348640469/ concerning a Press Release to a traveling art project called "What's In The Box Game". The name might be a grabber, but what got me more was the secondary art project called "Black Hole Space (blackholespace.org)". If this article had any connection to the video, which I doubt, it seems a bit strange that it mentions Black Holes, when the movie's singularity could be considered that. Anyway, hope I gave something of interest.

It didn't change at all. You just forgot to click on "More Info" in the video description.

Maybe this is the cipher text

Decompiling the flash object on the page reveals that the 4-digit string is an array called bullshitArray, and contains the strings:
0001 WSAD 134G ASDF 123A 1234 5223 QWER FASG 4213 UUUU READ FAST JFSD 2123 BOXR SAGA JFSD 2123 6335 2347 2678 7856 1111 0003

And any (or all) of these your key

I think the cipher to use in this case is the Vigenère cipher
and if it's the case disregard the numbers since the Vigenère cipher only uses letters

just throwing that out

Indeed. Most cipher's require a keyword(s) to solve it. Sounds like a good start though.

from what i have read, the weird math problems and explanations, i have came to an early conclusion that everything and nothing is in the box. though further research may prove me wrong.
