D216G

is D hex for 13?
can't be a 2x16 grid because it's using 64 symbols

also maybe D=VVVVVV and G=WWWWWW

this one is quite complicated, any thoughts yet?

I ran the VW code (it seems to be a 6-digit one) through a simple program that spits out the decimal equivalents of the VW text. My result:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

8 12 25 5 28 17 8 2 4 53 21 63 34 29 28 33 12 41 11 4
28 9 31 21 23 34 26 57 1 45 29 53 3 23 31 32 28 23 6 37
5 0 14 19 22 16 18 63 4 45 31 25 23 42 22 7 31 25 6 21
22 12 14 10 14 9 6 40 23 41 20 29 29 63 32 58 9 29 28 17
21 63 28 13 4 59 20 33 8 2 6 32 3 13 14 11 12 52 9 39
33 6 7 61 11 4 31 35 12 53 31 20 23 51 22 1 22 12 36 11
6 17 39 23

After counting up the occurances of each decimal code, I got this result:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

There are no occurances of 15, 24, 27, 30, 38, 43, 44, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 54, 56, 60, 62 and 64.

For the rest - <number>:<occurances>

0:1 1:2 2:2 3:2 4:5 5:2 6:6 7:2 8:3
9:4 10:1 11:4 12:6 13:2 14:4 15:0 16:1
17:3 18:1 19:1 20:3 21:4 22:5 23:7 24:0
25:3 26:1 27:0 28:6 29:5 20:0 31:6 32:3
33:3 34:2 25:1 36:1 37:1 38:0 39:3 40:1
41:2 42:1 43:0 44:0 45:2 46:0 47:0 48:0
49:0 50:0 51:1 52:1 53:2 54:0 55:1 56:0
57:1 58:1 59:1 60:0 61:1 62:0 63:4 64:0

That's as fas as I have gotten tonight.

Thanks a lot for that program DM, I really appreciate it!

I tried going through substitution ciphers and didn't get anywhere with those. I think we probably should try to crack the hidden hint in the message ie
63 BROADCAST ROTATION D 2 1 6 G 0

I'm not sure what 63 0 means, but I assume they're hinting on that the whole thing is in reverse? or counting backwards
D could be where the count starts and G could stand for grid, now as for the grid, don't think 2x16 would work, but 21x6 does, you actually can sort the whole thing into 21 by six rows and columns except for the last one that will only have 4 (so there are 124 symbols in total)
I'm trying to look at the table that I've got and so far can't really see any new things there, trying to read it vertically and horizontally.

I'll post anything else meaningful I find later, gotta get back to work now, slacking off will get me fired, right omm?

This is probably troutable cause I don't understand base numbers at all and this may be what some of you have already said, but isn't 0-63 base64. Ok trout away. Razz

No trout from me. How else do we learn if not from questions.

0-63 is base-64. It is also the range of numbers available using 6-digit binary numbers.

At this point, anything and anyone that can help with this Cursing code is well appreciated! Bang Head

My head hurts from this code.

There was a clue about the solution in the topic: Aim message just recieved

Quote:
mc573239: YOU RECEIVE STATUS UPDATES?
Jon Maddox: YES
Jon Maddox: UPDATES RECEIVED
mc573239: LATEST UPDATES MAY BE 12 STRING FILTER BASED
Jon Maddox: UNDERSTOOD

(My italics, bold & underline added).

Maybe it is a six-digit code. Maybe it is a 12-digit code. I tried working with it as a 12-digit code, but so far have gotten nowhere. It might be worth more work.

Ok, I didn't get anywhere either, but trying it as 12 string actually is a better alternative for me.

Thanks for that hint DM and whoever sent those AIMs (Sen I assume, but you never know)

back to cracking for me

Got it!

Solution:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
EXPERIENCING VERY HIGH RATE OF QUAISIBOT PRODUCTION X

LOCATION NOT IDENTIFIED X

OMM IS SUFFERING

RECOMMEND PB EIGHT FOUR EIGHT SHUTDOWN IN TWO DAYS

(the 2 stray X's are filler characters)
Method:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Groups of 12, W=0 and V=1, convert from binary to decimal.
Break each number into two seperate pieces, the two low digits and the one or two high digits.
Examples: 1605 -> 16 and 5, 524 -> 5 and 24.
Now its just A=1, B=2, ..., Z=26!
Very Happy
