He sent me the same e-mail also.
Has anyone checked the photos on Gibs' blog to see if anything is hidden there?
-----
I wrote him back just to try to fish for more, (maybe some specific contact info.), but only got this:

I can't tell you. They don't like that; they're a weird bunch of guys, but good at what they do. They're probably reading this email as I type it; they're *that* good.

You have the pieces; you have to find them yourself.

I think I might have found something.
Just noticed that the thumbnail of the artist's rendering of the Jarvis has been updated with a magnifying glass, links to a larger version that looks a tad corrupted.
I'm thinking steg, but I can't check right now.

Also, anyone make anything out of those red dots? (might not mean anything, but with all of these grids lately...)

Couple of new, rather uninformative twitters. Anyone see anything important?

EDIT: Yep, two programs both say steg, unfortunately stegbreak won't work and I don't know any other steg programs. Anyone suggest any for Windows?

oK... On the subject of images...
there is http://deceptech.com/Images/Main/slice10.jpg
and http://deceptech.com/Images/Main/slice11.jpg
one is labeled as technology, and the other says clients...
has anyone found anything with them? If so, I don't remember it...

Considering the similarity between those images and the current navigation images for www.deceptech.com, I'd hazard a guess that they are left over images from a previous version of the site that had a different navigation setup. It's something that web developers tend to do a fair bit, forget to clean out image directories before making a site live...but that's only IMHO

That's what I was thinking. deceptech.com/Technology.aspx still "exists", but only redirects to a 500 error. Clients just gives a 404.

I really don't think they are "old"... Cause I know I checked through them in the beginning to see if there were others... like 14, 15, 16, etc. etc....
And I've been suspicious of the jarvis thing and that blue eyeball, as well as one of the blog photos... but I've never de-stegged before! I download the camo thing, but haven't had any luck with finding anything yet...
And that supposed pdf file too... that still bugs the crap outta me! It has to be hint on finding SOMETHING... somewhere, but I'm still looking...
-------------------------
Is there some way to navigate the site from within the "internal" dir.... like it shows while logged into the mail accounts? I haven't been able to find anything yet... but seems like it might be possible..??

The Quotes

"The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury."
-- Marcus Aurelius

"You knew I'd escape. They haven't built a circuit that could hold me!"
-TRON

"There are worse things than death, and uh, I can do all of them."
-Hackers

"Whereas knights of old wore armor of plate, the modern knights of the air wear the invisible but magic armor of confidence in technology."
--Mike Spick (Military aviation author)

"Just what do you think you're doing, Stuart?"
-HAL9000 (Replace Stuart w/ Dave)

Aren't V and GC the same? Or am I mis-remembering? I thought...

Nothing on the cipher yet.

From the blog.

Gibson "Vengeance" Case. Doesn't necessarily signify, I guess.

ETA: I love the matrix runners web site. It is so bad. The only knock on the 'realness' of it is that you can actually read it w/o getting too bad a headache.
