I think this is a all very conclusive, but I guess it still somewhat scepticism at this point. But both were found on the fun stuff page, and it just seems more than a coincidence to me.

You know..now that I think about it, perhaps the events in the sound files don't take place on Earth? The way they use the term "Earth" , it seems to have certain connotations, not necessarily negative, but that denote a difference, ie, Aiden is too much like someone from Earth, who would be very different from the people of whatever place(planet? colony? space station?) our little soap opera is taking place. This could also explain why tuna is so expensive, since it's native to Earth, and thus, rare in other areas of the galaxy.

Bzzzt, sorry, try again. Bungie has said that while the two universes are connected, they are not the same. However, I'm leaning towards the opinion that the AI in this story may be one of the Marathon AIs, although not necessarily Durandal. He's simply the most likely candidate, since he survived until the end of the universe..but perhaps, when the Marathon universe ended, he managed to escape, and ended up in Halo's.

Maybe, but durandal was male... the operator is female... and if the AI is from the marathon universe, then why was it on a ship that spies on the covenant???

 		I can't download beer, walkingaway_girl, nervous, or pqi. Instead, I get an html document, repeating the princess's email asking for questions. Those documents have a different "Last Modified" time, today between 9:30 and 11:30 AM. All the .wav's are August 18th. Anyone else getting this problem?

I'm pretty sure they do, at least the Kamal and Sophia vignettes, with the references to Atlanta and Buffalo, New York.

My sense of this, is that Kamal and Sophia are from the same colony world, Coral. Both of their mothers would prefer that they'd find somone from "back home", and probably return to Coral to raise the kiddies.

Hmmm...good point. Perhaps I'm just reaching for a connection that isn't there. Unfortunately, no one from Bungie has ever said exactly *how* the two universes are connected..and I don't think they've even mentioned it since the Cortana Letters.

I thought that Jason Morelli might be the castaway, because he's a member of the signal core (CA deployed bouys) and he's been gone for a long time, but the jazz connection clinches it. Damn good work.

So that means that the conversations we're hearing are happening a little less than two years after the Castaway first left. Quite possibly he'd been out there that long when Melissa picked him up. So are these dialogues from just after Melissa crashed? Is "Durga" Melissa?

 		I'm very positive Durga is Melissa. Survive, evade, etc. She talked about how SPDR would delete memories of her crew, maybe the memory of Jason was erased?

It all fits very nicely.

This then explains why Jersey's intrests are intestinal parasites and disecting Eyeballs - Cause he is a medical student.

So we can also assume that Coral is a planet (colony) that is 42 light years away from earth.

By the way, has anyone attempted to contact the SP about these files? Perhaps I'll do it now..

No, it doesn't seem like Jersey in the four goats wave. It's Kamal. He's part of the dating / faithless lover sequence. Jersey, on the other hand, only seems to part of the Durga seqeunce. Kamal sounds different, and seems a different personality then Jersey.

Behavior: Both like to seek things, discover things
Metaphors: "I gave them a little sting." --> bee metaphors

Con's:
No evidence of Flea especially, Spider, or SP
Survive Evade Resist Escape remains intact--Melissa's earliest memories are already "Survive Evade Reveal Escape."
No memory of name--Melissa remembered her name before attaining the level of functionality this AI is showing.

Possible resolution: This is a different copy of Melissa, landed in a different computer system, damaged in different ways and devoid of the Flea (so far).

Sorry buddy, the Jersey voice has a very slight "jersey" accent. The person who you labeled Jersey is "Kamal" if you listen to "parasites" and "dizzy" you can tell its a different person. Kamal is the medical student with the failed date. Else why would Jersey be fixated ("Can you get pictures?") on a 17 year old Jan? They're about the same age. I am the only one amused at Jan's voice flipping between dumb teenager and smarter-than-your-average-cop person of interest?
