I got it too. Is it just me, or does the green and red layers look like a playfair cipher?

It's not just you; I thought the same thing. Been playing with it this afternoon, but having a hard time getting it to come out clean. Will keep working at it though.

The red and green are mirror images across the diagonal.

I got the email aswell...damn school

Anyway, yeah the letters are repeated in the green/red pictures, just diagonally flipped positions. Now...its not whether these are the same code or not, but why flip the letters, especially when we can reflip it back so easily. Think there's some sort of hidden clue there?

Oh, and just out of curiosity, the letter combinations, both in the bottom corner (24, 54, 41, 14) and the text hidden behind the image, I'm fairly sure are locations in the grid.

I tested the 24 - 54 - 41 - 14, with the first number being row, second being column, on the green grid, and got the word "Tiny"

Might just be a co-incidence, but all of the numbers are between 1 and 5, so i doubt it's just co-incidence. Get decoding Razz

Edit: Naturally, things are never that easy. I'm not getting any logical words here. But now I'm thinking...on the underlaying text, it isn't in English, nor any other language, as far as I can tell (just basic word structure, I could easily be wrong though). I'm thinking some other sort of cipher to translate those words (and possibly our answer) into something readable.

Unfortunately, have alot of stuff to do tonight, so good luck

Got it (at least part)!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Yes, the numbers are coords in the two matrices. First set goes with green, second goes with red.
44 35 23 43 12 22 21 gives
rwklmgb

41 53 23 12 33 15 32
jcupsel

TINY clue leads to tinyurl, leading two these two links:
http://www.tinyurl.com/rwklmgb
http://www.tinyurl.com/jcupsel

which go to:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Atreides
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimir_Harkonnen

Haven't checked yet, but guessing two more logins...

ETA - not getting a login out of either name yet, but I could just be dense tonight. However:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
arrakis appears to already be unlocked with code 23651748

ETA2 woohoo!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I'm in on arrakis

Very Happy
Looks like A11 should be fairly easy to pick off the list now and A8 not too much more difficult.

Krull is open, but azeroth isn't, even though we got that. The answer we had doesn't unlock it, either. Bug or feature?

Dunno
Tried A11 (87651423) on all of the servers (I think) and didn't get any Access Granted. Could have easily made a mistake though.

Tried A11 (87651423) and both possible combinations of A8 (14586372 and 14568372) in all servers listed and none of them worked. *shrug*

Ugh, that sucks.

Sorry to be a complete noob to all this, but how did we get the chevron passcode for Arrakis?

Also:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the passcode, 23651748, is, by process of elimination, B-13 on the grid. In case anyone cared and wanted to fill it out.

Click on the lock, It'll show it to you.

Azeroth is open now, as are:

Ork is open passcode=87651423
Abydos is open passcode=14586372

I'm guessing A11 will open as well once we find it. That's A8 & A11 accounted for.

Beat me to it. So, do we have any hints about what the name and password could be?
