The website was sent to us via e-mail. About a week before the event happened we were contacted and told to go to 16th and mission.

And you're right, &_coin is not the correct command for info on the "hobo coinage".... I'll let you acquire the transcript to get the proper command Wink

I hate to be an ass... but that info is pretty important for the next act. Make sure to bring a laptop with you, or some sort of internet access device so you can get all the info you need off of the EPWA website.

as for the leela clip, I actually lol'd. Great find.

naw you're not being an ass. i'm trying to keep as spoiler free as possible. i just looking for a point in the right direction Smile . the laptop is good advice. i'm already ahead of you on that though. my friend is bringing her laptop and we're gonna leech the wifi from the web 2.0 expo in the city :3

BTW if anyone wants to do the same thing, use the discount code

Quote:
websf09expo

when you register and you'll get a free pass into the expo hall (basic hall, not plus or conference)

PS: hobo coins... can i assume the hobos in question are plants? something about taking clues from homeless people irks me morally... :/

Well... no. The hobos are not plants, however.... they are not real hobos per se. They are really street performers.

Make sure you give them a tip when you ask for the coins though (1 or 2 dollars would be more than enough)

also, do the transcripts cost anything? the envelope kinda took me by surprise when i had to pay $1.09 for it. i don't wanna be caught off guard with no monies on hand.

The transcript costs about $5, cd about $10, and you might have to tip something like $5 for each coin. all in, the second act cost me $25, vs $1.09 for the first act, but it was WELL worth it. All of these items are super cool and worth the price.

ok so after my class i decided to walk up kearny and check out Coit Tower for the hell of it and cause i wanted to take pictures of that EPWA tag. Nothing interesting at the tower unfortunately, which was a real bummer because on my way up kearny i found something strange. Just a bit up the road past the EPWA tag, on the right under the first tree, are some pretty fresh looking chalk markings. I only just got the radio transcript so i donno if these are clues related to that particular puzzle but i hadn't seen these posted in here yet so maybe it's something different altogether? I donno. Here's what i found:

as far as i can tell the series of symbols on the second link are:

U N D/△/▽ X/+ L O/☉ L

as for the first brick, all i get out of it are 200, the NC symbol, and a zig-zaggy arrow pointing up the street. the scribble in the middle can either be a Z attached to what seems to be another arrow pointed up, or the Σ symbol, or something else entirely. i leave it to you to unscramble.

Great find Ever!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
As far as I can tell, those symbols are not JI related... they look almost like gang markings, however I have no way to be certain. I kind of hope they are related to EPWA, because this would give us a completely different set of clues to solve... however this looks like a cipher, and without some sort of key or other clues we are SOL. I'll keep looking and see what I can find.

That's great, but I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about! Perhaps you hit "New Topic" instead of "Post Reply"? Wink

EDIT - Merged into appropriate Jejune Institute topic -xnb

I'm just curious what this one is about. Do you have a link or can you point me to more information? Sounded interesting. Thanks!

It was all a mistake

Yes, I posted this topic entirely by mistake, actually. It was meant to be a straight post to the Jejune thread, not a new thread altogether. I was rather dumbfounded when my post didnt't show up, but had to run.

Anyway, hope to see you on the other thread Barmaid! Good Luck and Good Hunting and Eva Bless!
