I'm merging this stray thread with the existing Jejune thread. Make no adjustments to your monitors. Everything's cool.

Hey Jen! Here's a clue to who created the postcard found in act one:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
She was Eva's Psychologist... You are supposed to meet up with her at the end... instead you find the key

Doing their thing on my mp3 player

Check yr download section, ampersands. New voodoo. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

p.s. O Cap'n my King, you mentioned Trey and Cornelius being Savants. I believe you are mistaken, sir. They did hang with Delsqui and Play2 back in the day, and knew the Savants. But they are their own their own.

Thanks Jay for that clarification. Sometimes it can be confusing figuring out who is who Wink

And to the mods:

Thanks for moderating the topic. I know we have violated some things here and there, but we all appreciate you allowing us to use this forum to discuss this experience. Again, thanks for bearing with us Very Happy

EDIT: I plan to head to the city this Saturday to look for Hip Hop Shoe Repair and also to spread some information about Nonchalance. If you are interested in joining up with PM or email me at brettlowersSPLATgmail.com

looking around sites and re-reading stuff i might have missed i came across a poorly made angelfire website for eva linked on the hiphop shoe repair myspace.

http://wemissyoueva.angelfire.com/

now, considering these things never exist without a purpose i tried looking at the page source. nothing seemed terribly out of the ordinary except near the top. right above the bit of code that says 'WE MISS YOU EVA!!' is a strange arrangements of table cells

perhaps these numbers mean something? i donno enough about how HTML works to figure out if there's a significance in how the tables are sized...

or maybe i'm looking at it too hard :/

Map.

Everfalling: "i'm trying to keep as spoiler free as possible."

Okay, I wasn't going to say anything at first, but ... screw it. Do you perhaps think that maybe putting the entire map on Flickr is a spoiler? That ... given the incredible amount of time and effort the organizers have put into this, maybe giving people a free ride through the second act without having to put down five clams is ill-advised?

when i said that i meant I'm trying to keep myself from being exposed to spoilers as much as i can. sorry if that was worded strangely.

but otherwise I'll just leave these here:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

a complete photo walk through made back in September:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/jaschu/sets/72157607777253173/

the Despoiler wiki on the game:
http://jejuneinstitute.despoiler.org/index.php?title=Main_Page

i donno if you noticed but my photo set following Act 1 (which initially i made more for myself to archive my experience as opposed to provide a walk through but it ended up becoming one anyhow) has a nice clear statement in the description saying:

----------
Act 1

WARNING!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!!

THIS IS A WALK THROUGH AND CONTAINS SPOILERS THROUGHOUT.

DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU WANT TO SOLVE THE PUZZLES YOURSELF!!!
----------

and just for you i put a nice big (WARNING: SPOILERS) in the title of the set as well as the one I'm making for Act 2.

hope that helps <3

The city strikes again! Seems someone didn't take too kindly to the extra timeship 13 anchor and removed it. PM's had to replace the anchor with a flimsy tag. poor guys.

Also, I went back to the mission today to get the CD. I followed the map a bit to see where things were. i 'found' the hip hop shoe repair kiosk and possibly the lost sock connection. though i have to say i'm a tad disappointed...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

HHSR: http://www.flickr.com/photos/everfalling/3411456652/in/set-72157616161791877/

LSC: http://www.flickr.com/photos/everfalling/3410646151/in/set-72157616161791877/

edit: i just re-read the hobo profile pdf you use to find the coins. on the description for Dorothy it reads: Early morning seller of printed papers. rumored to had tutored Cornelius on the finer points of shoe repair. She can be found every weekday morning at the former/future [?] Hip Hop Shoe Repair Kiosk from 3am to 10am.

so either the kiosk used to be there, or might change in the near future. we shall see...

ok. short little thing here that might be something to look out for.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

seems there might be another locker involved over at 580 california. The first time we encounter the number 16-62 is on the unmason brick. we then later find out that number corresponds to a locker that then leads to 16-14 which seems to be an 3LS3WH3R3 portal. much later, by looking at the radio transcript and the CD we see that 16-62 is also part of the number of the Archival Field Recording and the number of the secret track plus the total number of tracks on the CD. the CD's archival recording describes how to get to 3LS3WH3R3. Now how does this relate to a third locker? Go to the EPWA's website and type &_contact. under the strange address are these numbers:

16-14/16-61

now since 16-14 is an 3LS3WH3R3 portal it's only natural to assume 16-61 is another locker portal. but to where?

haha, great connection Ever. Honestly, I didnt put the CD track numbers together, glad you picked up on that.

As for the locker number, that is a great theory! Unfortunately I dont think we can reach that locker now. I dont think we can just go to the front desk and get the key. But, we should keep our eyes open, you never know what we can find!

Also, I'm actually going to be leaving at the end of April for 3 months to do an internship down in southern California, so I wont be around for a while... however before I take off does anyone want to pull a Drybones and go to the city to promote JI/EPWA? I think it would be a fun experience, it could also be a small meet up if we want it to be, and it would give us a chance to be part of the promotion, afterall... that is our mission isnt it?

If you want to meet-up shoot me a PM or a e-mail: brettlowersSPLATgmail.com

i wish they had those JI posters on a website to download. i'm tempted to take a few down for copying purposes (and then put them back of course) so i can stick more up around the city. though i donno if maybe they only want the fliers to be in certain places? i donno.

my friends and i wanna do something where we go to dolores park and find someone who's trying to listen to the radio broadcast and then have one of us go up to them and say something like 'hey. i know where elsewhere is.' or 'hey, i have a lead on where Eva is' and then have two other people in suits run up and drag them away while the first friend yells 'get off me you jejune goons!'.

just an idea :3

edit: hey, can anyone translate this:

Ni estas perd, sed ni estas ripar tempo

it's a sorta slogan i'm finding on the hobo coins and on the postage stamp on the little black box of nonchalance that i got in the mail.
also on one of the stamps was this:

Somnamulado Al Pelica Destino

pics here:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/everfalling/3411468738/

edit edit: ok i forgot who did it but remember someone went up kearny street toward the coit tower and found the spray paint that said "605 EPWA" and assumed 605 meant 605 kearny (i went back there and the NC sticker was gone btw)? well i'm looking through my pictures and i realize that 605 is also the address of the Star Lunch chinese restaurant off Jackson street. perhaps that was where it meant? if you think about it, it would fit into the bread crumb trail as 'Louie's view' comes before 'lunch time' so maybe it's just redirecting someone following the Coit Tower lead before they reach Eddies phone number?

woo wee. just finished the transcript and boy was that fun! i was with a few friends and we ended up getting turned around a lot and had to whip out a google maps of the area to figure out where eva had walked next. a very interesting experience but like last time it leaves me with more questions (spoilers):

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

most of these questions i'm writing here are just to put them out there for people to consider. i don't expect them to be answered any time soon.

So, beyond using the tooth and the small letter as pieces in the puzzle to get through the website what do i do with them? i also have two smaller hobo coins as change that i donno what to do with. i'm guessing they'll come in later.

the letter was a tad confusing. not just in wording (could it turn out to be a code cause it was very oddly worded?) but the origin. The WSPS is supposed to be a sorta gateway between here and 3LS3WH3R3. if this is the case, and we're assuming Eva is in 3LS3WH3R3, then why are WE getting the letter from the mother to give to Eva? shouldn't it have gone the other way around? get the letter and give it to the WSPS so it finds its way to Eva? or, is the mother in 3LS3WH3R3 sending out a letter to Eva on the outside? if that, then where's Eva if not in 3LS3WH3R3?

The EPWA site says those letters are to be delivered to their recipients. but the recipient is Eva. so i guess we hold onto them until we find eva? something to look forward to i guess.

Who's Brightwell? And why was he recording this experience? I'd suggest it was extracted by the Memory to Media Center but that only works on visualized memories.

Tooth Fairy = Octavio? creepy either way to think someone saw Eva as a nonchalant at such an early age and began stealing her teeth way back then.

What's with the mother spacing out like that? too much time in all those other cults? she mentions 'Furthermore' as a place you go if you go too far and it's a bad place. Perhaps this explains the letter? The mom is trapped in Furthermore and has sent out a letter to Eva in 3LS3WH3R3? The letter mentions that she's only 'a breath away'. Eva's mom died after a failed attempt at Breatharianism and a body was never found. i wonder if this new place will be touched upon any more as we go along.

What are these rooms beneath the house Eva's mom mentions? During the CD tour you see the house. the front door is all boarded up and fenced off (i added a 'soon obsolete' sign to the fence :3 ) but the back yard, though fenced off, seems somewhat accessible. something makes me wanna go into the mission at night and hop the fence to follow that lead.

In the fenced off yard of the house there seems to be a fairly newly made garden in the corner. it's got a little sign on it that says the Pollinator Garden. is that part of it? the CD mentions the recordings were found under a compost heap in the yard. is there something buried in that little garden? or is that some kinda activity being done by a local school?

Why is the letter sealed with an L?

What's this necklace Eva's mom gives her? Where is that? And what's this 'Rumi's Feild' it contains?

Who's this man Eva's mom sends to Eva?

what does it means by "At the right (left) time he will meet you at the Tower."?

what does that whole last paragraph of the letter mean?

How is The Algorithm important? i know Eva's dad helped develop it. perhaps there are a certain set of answers to the 7 questions that we need to find at some point?

Why does it seem there's a strong tension between the dad and Eva and her mom? the dad seemed confused about Eva's mention of 3LS3WH3R3 and the moms tone seemed stern when she said 'later' when the dad asked when they'd be home.

What are all those names penciled in around the viewport in the library?

What now? looking on the site it seems that we've reached, as it says, a plateau, and we have to find our own answers? if it weren't for the lost transmission i might almost say this was all done but thankfully not. but what now? At least with act 1 you guys had a nice obvious countdown to watch until the next installment. what are we looking for with this transition?

as frustrating as it is to have so many questions it means that there has to be proper time to answer them all. So i'm hoping to look forward to many more acts beyond this second one.
