Ph"armament"

check out one of the words: "armament"...

...sound familiar?...

...that's because Pharmament is "armament" with a "Ph"...

...in medical terms, "armament" means a biological weapon, like a virus...

...Pharmament is definitely making the virus...

Hi Adam,
Luckily I found you.
Interesting read.
My idea is that the truth is a mixture of theories. I suspect that indeed some of the settlers did join a tribe, but I think this happened after a large part of them was wiped out.
Some scientists think it was a virus.

Have you ever heard of the Croatoan virus?

Maybe. However I think most of the words in the list have appeared before in the TSO and/or Pharmament storyline (incidentally, "armament", from "Pharmament" was recognized early on in Pharmament's thread).
From this point of view.. one of the early puzzles from EYE involved changing the .jpg extension to .rar and unzipping (technically it should be "un-raring" or decompressing I guess)... but then EYE told us he doesn't like to repeat himself..

JUST HAD AN IDEA!

words that we've had something with before:

Quote:

armament
artificial
assassin
evil
extinction
eYe
laboratory
microbe
operation
organisation
support
trouble
unzip

words we haven't had something with before:

Quote:

acknowledge
anonymous
awol
conquest
journey
nothing
reality

maybe try plotting the new words on the codex or something, maybe along with the first 6 words too?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

anyone wants to revise this, here's the BBCode:

Code:

words that we've had something with before:

[quote]
armament
artificial
assassin
evil
extinction
eYe
laboratory
microbe
operation
organisation
support
trouble
unzip
[/quote]

words we haven't had something with before:

[quote]
acknowledge
anonymous
awol
conquest
journey
nothing
reality
[/quote]

maybe try plotting the new words on the codex or something, maybe along with the first 6 words too?

anonymous - was the nick used by Dan O'Kean
(see http://pharmament.wikidot.com/character:dan-o-kean - when we got emails from Dan's account, now used by Dave, the "From" field would read "An omynous" )

Edit: journey could refer to Adam's trip early in Chapter 0, Reality could refer to ARG, and nothing, I think, could refer to the 'Nothing's here (yet)' puzzle.

So, assuming 'anonymous' belongs to the first list, I tried playing with the first letter of each word in the second list:
Quote:
ACJNR

Using the Codex image/Kinght-moves encoding, this could be encoded to:
Quote:
IKUVZ

Sadly, http://www.eyeamhere.com/index.asp?capital=IKUVZ leads nowhere.

I tried looking for a sequence that would encode into
Quote:
ACJNR
, but no letter can encode into 'A' according to that scheme, so this one lead nowhere.

Another use of the Codex image was to encode each letter into a pair of numbers (row, column pairs). So
Quote:
ACJNR

Could be emncoded into
Quote:
11 13 24 32 36

neither
http://www.eyeamhere.com/index.asp?capital=11+13+24+32+36 nor
http://www.eyeamhere.com/index.asp?capital=1113243236
Lead anywhere.

of course, I'm not sure why we're expecting the list of words from EYE to lead to a solution of the latest puzzle on EYE's homepage (aside from: both come from EYE, and both appeared around the same time).

Edit: forgot to mention that I looked for anagrams of
Quote:
ACJNR
but found none, which is sort of odd, 'cause I don't everremember a sequence of characters for which no anagram exists, but you can check here:
http://wordsmith.org/anagram/anagram.cgi?anagram=ACJNR&t=1000

New twitter post by Dave:
Quote:

E.Y.E. asked me to pass a message related to the words: "Did you count?" No idea what he means by that.

If I'm counting correctly, we have 3+3+20 words = 26

26 letters in English alphabet ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_alphabet ) ?

Of course there are other interesting things about the number 26:
(for more see: [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/26_(number)]Wikipedia[/url])

* greater than 25, lesser than 27 !!! ZOMG THIS MUST BE IT

* Pierre de Fermat proved that 26 is the only number between a square and a cube. 25 = 5 * 5 < 26 < 27 = 3 * 3 * 3.
* Twenty-six is a repdigit in base three (222) and in base twelve (22).
* In base ten, 26 is the smallest number that is not a palindrome to have a square which is (26^2=676).
* Twenty-six is the number of known five-digit prime quadruplets, the first of which is {13001, 13003, 13007, 13009}

* The atomic number of iron
* The number of spacetime dimensions in bosonic string theory.

* 26 is the gematric number of the true name of god - Yahweh

* A 2003 novel by Leo McKay, Jr..
* The number of miles in a marathon rounded down (26 miles and 385 yards).

Hopefully none of these matter right now Smile

Of note.. I think the list in the previous post with the words we had already seen in the storyline and the 'new' ones did not include the original 6 words received on April 1 and 2...

Might be not very useful, nevertheless here the letters counted over all 26 words:

E 21
O 21
N 20
A 19
I 19
T 19
R 15
C 10
S 10
L 9
U 7
Y 6
P 5
B 4
M 4
D 3
G 3
F 2
J 2
V 2
W 2
H 1
K 1
Q 1
X 1
Z 1

In total there are 208 letters.
The eyeamhere IP starts with 208. Might be coincidence.
