so how did melissa end up in Jersey's PC?

OK, so now that the story is coming together, we need to move on to analysis phase. It will most likely be obvious what order things go in once we get every wave (unless there really are more after this salvo is completed). So, how in the heck did M. end up on Jersey's computer? Where is said computer? Why is M. damaged? Is this before the problem on M's ship?

Also, M. said that she will make contact with her crew (us) and hopefully we can tell her what damage there is and how to fix it. Aside from the fact that I don't think we will know squat about what damaged M after only five more waves, how will we contact her back for further communication and/or instructions? That is, even in the best case scenario where we know exactly what to do, how do we tell her?

A little clarification please.

First, I'm going to try and make Four_Goats and Dizzy in Dale City, VA today. Hopefully I can light those Axons up. Help me out -- I've got conflicting info: The forum seems to state that Melissa will ask for my name and then I'll respond with the title of the Axon group. However, in the recording of Four_Goats, I think I remember the person giving her nickname and the password at the same time.

A little clarification please.

Catching Up

OK, so we've confirmed (as much as we can) that Melissa (Durga) and Jersey's dad have met. He was picked up by the ship on which she was the AI in deep space. She remembers him in her ramblings on ILB.

Jersey is "infatuated" with Jannissary. That ties those two threads.

Jersey's mom was involved in one of the dates -- Durga states she ate Tuna on one of her meetings with the other man and in Kamal's tracking of the dates, he mentioned Tuna on the menu. Or at least we can assume she was dining at the same place. That potentially ties those two threads.

One thing I'm trying to figure out is the reference from ILB:

I'm betting Melissa's "nickname" is significant.

[SPEC] Beating a PQI

I've got a SPEC on how Jan beat the pop quiz--whether or not it's relevant, I'm not sure. If you follow the conversation, you'll notice that she frequently interjects her own questions as responses. Then, when the interrogation officer demands "Yes or No!", she's actually answering her OWN question, which will elict the desired response from the PQI machine.

Ex:

Interrogator: That's better. What friends?
Jan: It doesn't matter, does it? I'm the one that was in the restricted area. Only then the alarms came on and the MP's showed up.
(answers, "it doesn't matter, does it?")

Jan: You know how it is. (should be a ? maybe? If it's in her head is what counts I think)
Interrogator: Yes or no
Jan: Yes.
(since she got iffy about the blood alcohol test a moment later, but seemed to pass the PQI with this yes, it might be the same)

Interrogator: Did you know before I told you, yes or no?
Jan: He was a terrorist do you think? eh.. I mean, no, sorry.
(again, answering whether one thinks it's a terrorist. This seemed to me like a rather random idea to throw into the conversation, as well. We also know they "turtled a razor-back", which might be the vehicle in the ditch)

Nickname

I stated earlier that I think Melissa's nickname which she refers to while remembering her conversation with Jersey's dad was significant.

Melissa is of Greek origin and means: "Honey Bee"

Maybe this was already known. Her nickname could have been "Honey" or "Bee" or "Stinger" -- ties into ILB.

I recall someone asking about the "Pillow" call. Someone on another forum said that they went and what they can remember of the call is as follows:

[SPEC] Jan and her "Father"

This sounds like a crack dream, but any chance that Jan and her father might be prototypes in the supersoldier experiments? Or could Jan even be an AI who was "given" a body by her "father"/creator/technician? Just asking since it sounds like Jan pretty much was able (from what it sounds like) to sneak onto a military base without detection, sort of sneak off said base, and was only caught by the municipal police while she was escaping from the military base....

Just a thought... $0.02... thoughts?
