They started the countdown a day or two after the video was posted, which was Friday, March 13, 2009. The countdown (near as I could tell) started at 7, and started around 200-300,000 views. It's taken almost 21 days to reach "1." Also, the video has hit a million views, so that is probably what they wanted to accomplish. It seemed the countdown wasn't tied so much to the days, but to the milestone views (every hundred thousand or so). If anything is going to happen, it's probably going to happen today, as this is the first day the video is over 1,000,000 views. I'll be following it, and the whatsinthebox.nl website all day today, so we'll see what happens. I'll post updates if there's anything to update on.

On the website, the flash animation has been changed to a red circle.

If you click on the top, you get to http://babel-research.eu/witb/stream/, where the famous video is show again. The source points to http://babel-research.eu/witb/snd/mc2.mp3, which says "located within quarantine zone" when played backwards. A link leads to http://babel-research.eu/. There you can read about a company with several developments, along with a possibility of "direct access" and the logos of Black Mesa, Aperture Science and Hanso Foundation (a company of the Lost universe).

If you click on the right, pieces of newspapers appear, which report about the explosion.

If you click on the bottom, you are prompted for some text. On a wrong answer it says "uh uh uh, you didn't say the magic word". If you enter "please", it says "who are you, Dennis Nedry?". On mouseover several codes appear, possibly hex code.

If you click on the left, a news report is talking about the accident, both in English and Japanese.

A comment on http://babel-research.eu/witb/ says some things will only be revealed through mirrors and light" "Unmask the URL".

I don't understand http://babel-research.eu/snd/hidden.mp3 , backwards something like "blahblah November".

The sourcecode is full of "key"s and "lock"s which look like hex code, too.

Also, the letters 'exposed' can be selected from the newspaper pieces.

Also, not sure if this is trout, but at the bottom of the Babel Indutries page, is a link to http://www.thehansofoundation.org/ when the page loads when you cursor over the middle is some background rambling about having the virus? and also some lettering at the bottom of the page

just for info the hex that scrolls over the cursor position for that bottom segment of the circle appear to be the hex colour codes for the coloured dots across the top of the page on the babel research home page.

so i went from http://babel-research.eu/ to http://www.thehansofoundation.org/ looked in the source found http://www.rachelblake.com/ in the comments went there converted the long binary to acii it gve me hex, so i flipped that to text and got a message
