Pearl Jam "Ten" Game

via http://game.blogdig.net/archives/articles/March2009/03/Pearl_Jam_Ten_Game_now_Live_.html

Quote:
Ten, the debut album from Pearl Jam that has sold over 12 million copies, and introduced the band to the world, is being reissued in four new and expanded editions on March 24, 2009 by Epic/Legacy Recordings. Sony Music has found a truly unique way to let fans preview selected tracks from these reissues, The Pearl Jam Ten Game.

Says Craig Elimeliah, Senior Executive Producer, Freedom + Partners, the games' developer, "The Pearl Jam Ten Game website represents a true convergence of two very popular online genres, casual gaming and music. Using the two to create a dynamic website experience is a unique and powerful way to tell a story and to further endear fans to a band/brand that they already have an affinity for. Freedom + Partners is a digital agency that prides itself on innovating new ways to enhance the user experience and we are truly proud of this execution."

Beginning today, fans can go to www.pearljamtengame.com and complete a puzzle to unlock various songs from the Ten reissues. With every row a user gets aligned, a new song is unlocked for them to hear. Upon completion of the entire puzzle, the user unlocks a special video piece detailing the history of this historic release. Users can time themselves completing the puzzle, and challenge their friends through the 'share' feature.
