Conference Paper

I was intrigued about the conference paper he was preparing so I looked around on the links on his page and if you go to the University of California, San Diego page you'll notice they have a colloquium (like a conference of sorts) scheduled throughout April, perhaps this is where he intended to present his paper. And that's probably why he needed someone to take care of his dog? cause he was going to the conference?

just some thoughts.

Hi again!

@aceituna
It's not "dog care" on the to do list, it's "getting dog food".

@all
Did you checked out the Research thing? There's a lot of explanation about the HMM. And there's an article about the Unabomber. In this article it's said, that he was (unknown) part of an experiment, which was intended to measure how people react under stress...
Maybe we're part of the same experiment... Laughing

In the last article is something about the HMM and a labyrinth. Maybe there's a connection to his logo... Confused

MPU e-mail

Hi

@moggi Sorry I must have misread the list.

I also wondered about the experiment, I mean whether or not were not part of some big field research to see how gamers react under stress or something like that, heh! especially after i got the registration e-mail back from the MPU

"PS: Our Psychiatry Faculty is looking for test persons – please get in touch if you'd like to make a contribution to our innovative research"

anyway I'll try to refrain from posting unless I have anything particularly relevant from now on.

All I can say is: we were and still are part of an experiment... Laughing
It's called the "Alzner (which is an anagram from Larenz)- experiment". It was the German ARG (http://www.alznerexperiment.com).

I called the number, but there was only an answering machine...what else... Rolling Eyes Many of us German ARGis replyed the mail. Of course we all want to be testpersons!!! Laughing

It's late here across the big ocean and I now have to go to bed... Wink

Have a nice day and keep on thinking!!!

Don't feel bad, aceituna - until moggi posted just now, I think all of us thought the list said something about hiring dog care, because that's what Google (hail, Google!) told us. Smile

That's why it's nice to have some native German speakers here helping us out. Danke!

still waiting

I'm still waiting for Penny to email me about the boat. Since Ivan doesn't have a car and he is planning to take his dog somewhere, also there is talk in the card that everyone has gotten about Anna leaving the island. So this is a little off topic but it may be possible that Ivan is going to that island.
Anyways i am about to e-mail Penny again about the boat, you should do the same to make sure this is a possible lead.

Penny said she'd return mail within the next two days on Monday. I'm oiling up my pitchfork and making sure I have lots of fuel for my torch, just in case. Wink

Yea why is nothing going on? The recorders led us to Ivan Krotzler, but then everybody from there seems to have disappeared and we're just left with all of this random stuff (knowing.jpg; the patient data; HMM models; the NYC calendar page; MPU) that doesn't seem to go anywhere.

whiiiiiine.

Backwards, it could be a phone number: 1-646-736-1140

Dunno if anyone mentioned this, but 646 is a New York City area code. If this number turns out to be legit, would it have something to do with the 'I must stop this' note?

I think your solve is right Addie. It seems too coincidental that the numbers from the Knowing.jpg actually make a phone number that leads to a woman named Isabel. I am wondering tho if there isn't a pass phrase or word we need to use when leaving a message? I have no idea what it could be (Charlotte maybe?) but either the character Isabel is waiting for us to say something or some poor woman really doesn't want to call us back to say we're calling the wrong number.
