New guy here

Oh hey there. Just wanted to say hi. Just started this crazy thing at Ever's nudging. I did everything but the
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
socks and hip hop shoe repair.
Don't know if that really needs spoilers, sorry, I'm not good with computers. I was still able to
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
answer all the questions on EWPW and get the flashing screen.
Did I miss something, or are we all waiting here?

Also. I live in the south bay, but I go to SF pretty often, if anyone wants to do some Drybones (was that it?) kinda stuff, I am down.

Ha, you sure do have a lot of questions there Ever. Unfortunately, I don't have many answers, maybe someone else does.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I believe "the tower" may stand for Coit Tower. I think we may be visiting Coit tower in the near future.

The Algorythm is the most important invention ever created by man. It is said that it could end all wars and strife. Whoever owns it will become very powerful.

I think Blair (Eva's father) was not "mad" but more scared for Eva's and Peggy's life. I think when the recording was taken is when the attacks on Nonchalants by Octavio Coleman started taking place.

I think now we are waiting for more people to jump aboard. Yes we had a countdown but it was pretty arbitrary, because for a good week the "countdown page" was left pretty much blank. Right now, I think our best bet is to continue spreading the word. That is why I think some sort of crazy promotion in the city would be awesome.

And Apollo, I think it would be awesome if we all got together.

i found it quite by accident, but i do attribute part of it to listening to the mystery track before going on my daily run around lake merrit. i didnt want to wait for a red light so i made a right turn onto MLK and there it was, right outside of eli's mile high club. i nearly crashed and parked the car and spent about an hour hanging out with sultan zaitair (sp?)...we had a conversation in the 4th dimension. and i learned about the significance of 7777, 13/20 etc all in all not part of the game...he is kind of a crack pot but really awesome. i asked about the nonchalance symbol and he said some guy came to speak to him a few times and he put teh sticker up because he embraces all belief thingies...

took some pics will post later
he himself is on a treasure hunt as well, but it is multi dimensional, multi universal, multi faith, and he IS the chosen one!

in case you didn't recognize the poems that Eva says in the CD track:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Where the Sidewalk Ends

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.

Coinage

Let me just say, that it is like pulling teeth, trying to find a whole bohemian.
I have only ever been able to find Jun, and that's it.

I guess I'll have to head back out to china town, but damn did he squeeze me hard last time (five bucks).
Worth once mind you, but that plus the trip is a stretch for a poor overworked truth seeker without allot of time on his hands for idle pursuits.

Just sayin',
shoudln't be easy, but wish we could get a kippy at the station once in awhile, (i check that one damn near every mon - thursday of every week)

Hope to have the time to trek out to china town, so I can finally get me a tooth,
that's all I'm missing as far as I know,

A.[/i]

try looking for the sax man off of Grant street as well as Kearney. i stumbled upon him there after getting my coins from Jun Yu (i was tempted to haggle with him to lower the cost of those coins but it's hard to say no to a sweet old chinese guy) but he didn't have the coins and said he had to get more when he got home. also, you might have to bring the EPWA paper on the hobos with you cause when i saw him i asked if his name was Mike (the name given on the sheet) and he said no and i almost kept walking until i looked at the paper and then showed him and asked if it was him and he said yeah it was.

Wholebos!

All of the above happened to me, as well with "Mike". I saw him twice more and he failed to bring the coins both times, so I bailed on him and moved on to the violin player in the powell muni station. I found him with no problem and he was totally cool, andhad the coins right there.

Keep checking the EPWA site because they do update the sheet with new "WholeBos", who might be easier to find.

This week
as seen on the internets

She's alive!

Also, not that any of us would believe any of it, but Octavio's people have put out some new commercial audio clips and made the available for download. (The Memory to Media Center opening music still kills me, though.)

Finally, someone on Flickr started a group called soon obsolete. Fun!

It's really funny reading the posts on the flickr pages. It seems like the viral promotion is working quite well! I love seeing people's interests being perked.

Hey guys, is there a game wiki or something anyone can point me to? I'm in San Francisco just for the weekend and want to poke around the game while I'm at it, but I've been away for too long and have no idea what's been going on. Razz And I'll prolly have to leave by the time I finish reading through the forums. Wink

The wiki hasn't been updated in quite some time, I imagine. Better to just go do it than read about it! Smile It's all still going on and you can participate directly. I'm not sure if you've done any of this yourself prior to this weekend, but here's all the stuff you could do:

Despite everybody saying not to go to the Jejune Institute, you can go there and infiltrate:
580 California (at the corner of California and Kearny) (map!)
Suite 1607 (tell the security guard downstairs you're going to the 16th floor)
Things to bring: $1.10, something to take notes on, a cell phone, perhaps a laptop, comfortable walking shoes. After your visit, a good place to go is Golden Gate Perk, a nice wifi cafe I found nearby. Just walk 2 blocks south on Kearny, it's at 401 Bush at the corner. (map!)

Once you've done all that (give yourself 2 or 3 hours, if you do it today go before 3pm to give yourself enough time, and do it TODAY since they aren't open on Sunday), grab a radio and go to the highest part of Dolores Park, around 20th and Church Streets (map!) and tune in to 107.9 FM. Give yourself about a little under an hour to listen to it all. Take notes, and proceed. You'll have several bits to pursue from that. If you don't have a radio handy, you can perhaps borrow one from Faye's Video at 3614 18th St., between Dolores and Guerrero Streets. (map!)
