 		About so called UEC-logo. We can see "Join now" several times and even in different languages. Also we can see "Positions". Maybe it's a hint? We should join another image (or even this UEC-logo) in some certain position?
And there are 13 stars in that logo. Why 13? EU flag has 12 stars.

For now, imho the lose ends thaat should be followed are "saga", the UEC thing and the message from babel research when typing 59462, "... use remote any remote accesspoint." -> where could this access point be? The FTP? On witb (can't think where)? On another, still hidden domain (don't think so...)?


The three dots are a common theme through this entire thing... also at the bottom of the CBI to the left of the "pause" button. In fact, things in 3's are VERY common, 3 towers, 3 dots, 3 divisions of Babel Industries... that must be significant.

Several translation sites said both of those mean "Register." I know it's almost the same at Join now, but "word nu lid" specifically translated to "register now."

 		Old news but it continues to bug me.
I know this has been covered previously and I have seen it myself but how is it that we get the Eye of Horus to replace the All Seeing Eye in the upper right of babel-research.eu? I've looked through the source images and simply cant find a reference to one with that replacement.

if you're talking about the second anti picture and the header image, it's because the anti picture was modified into that, and the header, for so many days, has remained that way.

 		...if Babel and UEC aren't on the same side? From its website, Babel Research seems to be dominant in quite a few areas (solar cells, ...), not to mention the other Babel Group companies.

Comparing with other (maybe similar) scenarios, I can imagine that Babel is well connected to the government/UEC/whoever controls the country. So as soon as the main character takes the box with him, Babel alerts UEC to make it their top priority to find the box (and the main character, maybe Englert) as well?

possibly. we don't know babel's true intervention with the whole event, so we can't assume they're already a part of this. like i said in an earlier post, the city appears to have been evacuated for some reason, and only the main character remains, with what i believe is the UEC. he might've thought that babel would have potential answers, but didn't know how to actually get them, or did know, and got the answers he sought. we would need more information from the author before continuing... also, may an admin please do something similar to my last request? we need the first post to be updated from its almost dead state... :S

I agree with you there. This site has to be generating a TON of traffic and a nice, quick way to catch people up would be great. I've been directing friends over to WikiBruce's site, as it's a nice launching pad for the game so far.

Unless the UEC started the whole thing... it appears they were on their way to Babel anyway... we can't assume their working with each other... Government had NOTHING to do w/ Black Mesa in HL1, infact they worked against each other quite significantly (as seen in Opposing Force, the HL1 expansion). We have to assume there are going to some allusions like that between this and the HL/Lost series.

see, boXXer had a good idea... that they COULD be working together. he was using the website logic, but this only tells us so much, similar to how the actual location of whatsinthebox files are on the babel site... i dunno, i just need to see the author do some major update as opposed to picking on a few little things D:

I wouldn't be so quick to say evacuated... given the fact the city is quarantined, the "millions feared dead" and the position of everyday objects like they were dropped with no care, would seem to suggest (at least to me) that the people carrying or using those objects were very quickly (and most likely violently) removed from them one way or another... case in point would be the affect on the birds towards the end... the just die, and drop... if this is a viral outbreak (or at least started as one, he takes the pills to start the whole thing, as not be to affected like everoyne else was, the pill bottle is empty, and his nose is bleeding, possibly early affects of whatever is going on - also, the posters in the lab seem to suggest they are studying biological stuff, not technological, and all the posters are from "Nano-Med" (whatever that is) and talk about nanotechnology infusing with biotech...) then it could be suggested that the infected people just disappeared when they were infected, leaving their personal items, bikes, cars wherever they were when they disappeared.
