Unless the UEC started the whole thing... it appears they were on their way to Babel anyway... we can't assume their working with each other... Government had NOTHING to do w/ Black Mesa in HL1, infact they worked against each other quite significantly (as seen in Opposing Force, the HL1 expansion). We have to assume there are going to some allusions like that between this and the HL/Lost series.

see, boXXer had a good idea... that they COULD be working together. he was using the website logic, but this only tells us so much, similar to how the actual location of whatsinthebox files are on the babel site... i dunno, i just need to see the author do some major update as opposed to picking on a few little things D:

Agreed. Given the lack of additional info coming in, we're forced to nitpick what we've already seen... second guessing isn't always the best thing, but at least we've been able to eliminate a few things in the last day or two.

Has anybody noticed that on their YouTube channel, the Discovery MythBusters video has something really odd... Start at 3:50 and continue watching. It leads me to believe this who thing has been on the drawing board since 2007. What do you think?

because that's physically impossible. let's hope this author isn't going for science-FICTION, but SCIENCE-fiction...
regardless, there was a radiation sign in the lab, the meds could've been anti-rad pills or something.
i would argue the other things, but just look at this from a SCIENCE-fiction perspective, and you should understand my point.
i can't stress the need for SCIENCE over FICTION.

EDIT: at Geo, good catch... i would hope so, and that the author of it doesn't dick off for too long... or maybe he's got it all down, just needs to set it all up..?

There's a phone number at the end of that Mythbusters video. Maybe someone in Nijmegen could try calling it. Long shot, but who knows?

Thats not a bad idea.

The phone number is from the car company where the (Dutch) mythbuster episode was filmed.

I don't suppose anyone get get a better detail on the picture at 4.30/4.31 can they? More than likely it's the whatsinthebox.nl address but... It's worth a try.

Of note, TIMSMIT is also listed in the credits at 4.15.

lswaidz - The "Mythbusters" video.
Having checked out the terminator vid - it LOOKS like the URL ( whatsinthebox.nl ) in on the credits on THAT as well, and that was posted almost a YEAR ago. Neutral

It looks like the pro.css and anti.css were used back on the old version of the site.
The original flash is also on there as well http://www.whatsinthebox.nl./pro.swf

There's also an email address on the "TornadoProof" video.

Does anybody know what http://www.babel-research.com is? and if they aren't connected with WITB why they link to the original anti.gif image? or even better why they use horrible grammar, or why there is nothing but a webmail on there?

Seems kind of redundant if it is a company, doesnt it?

Do you mean http://www.lurewallet.com/ ? I think that doesn't have anything to do with this, considering they "broke the fourth wall" if they were

Upon further research, I'd say that babel-research.com is almost 100% NOT associated with this. It redirects to lurewallet.com, which was registered by a guy from Harvard in 2002 named Christopher Thorpe. He also owns thorpe-corp.com which was registered back in 1999, so I highly doubt any that is connected.
