Nooooo, its the best one of the lot in terms of continuity! Have you tried amazon? I think they also have an isbn request feature too so that might prove useful.

Sorry I wasn't clear - he didn't techiqually die 3 times, he died and then #2 and #3 happened therefore he must be dead...

There is some suggestion of a cover up in the Halo books. Basically, UNSC makes the general population believe that the war is going fine and that the covenant will probably never reach earth, when in reality they will be in earth in months if not weeks. In fact, the fall of reach is top secret even inside UNSC HQ in Sydney a not too long after the event.

 		hey i was just throwing it out there to get everyone thinkin, it probably is Earth, but if there's evidence that its on Corral, then we can't rule that out... basically, if we know WHERE it is, that can help us identify WHEN it is in relation to the greater storyline

[wild spec] Okay, I think James James really is Janissary's father. She calls him Dad in the car, when they're alone. I think James is a retired Spartan --maybe even a (the?) retired master chief. He settles down on Earth, gets a new identity ('cause he has no history he can talk about), and has a daughter that inherits these generic alterations that were done to him artificially. Dad teaches her at least some about their delicate situation, and how to foil things like a lie detector test. She grows up as a superhuman beauty, goes to high school with other kids, and learns that she can take wild risks without consequence. One of her exploits gets her caught and hauled into the police. She defeats the lie detector test, but Dad burns the police department down (slowly, so nobody gets hurt) just to be safe. [/wild spec]

maybe MAYBE the whole ilovebees thing isnt happening in 2004... maybe it is set a bit later than now... kind of wierd, unless after this whole story leads up to melisa being sent back in time....

 		i dont think so, i dont think spartans can have kids due to augmentations... and how would she get them from dad since they were surgeries, and not genetic changes
