Jason - most excellent, thanks so much for gathering all the information! Is there any way you can post pictures of this stuff?
If you have a little 1/8" to 1/8" cord, you should be able to connect it to the headphone out plug on the recorder to the microphone in plug on your computer and record the audio. If that's not possible, we can try having me call and record it onto my little recorder, but I'm not sure how the quality will be. Can you make out anything he says on the tape? I can't call until tomorrow at any rate.
Oh, and for the paper - you don't have to burn it - just hold it over the toaster as it goes. It warms it up, but won't burn it at all. It's even more gentle than using an iron.

Message from Penny on Fbook in response to a message I sent yesterday asking her to measure the dress, look for labels etc. Doesn't add much, but posting for the sake of completeness. Slightly out of sync owing to time difference 'cross the pond.

Hi [memehunter],
thank you for caring about me. I had Jimmy on the phone again today and we were talking about the size of the dress and so on. He said that he can't say for sure which size it is but it must be for a little lady. He then examined the dress again and found a letter on the inside. I've uploaded his photos to this account now, so that you all can see that letter.
This is so scary and exciting at a time, but I try as hard as I can to keep smiling just as you said.
Penny
Onwards!

No arrival in Hamburg tomorrow!

On page 42 of the brochure we have a voyage from New York to Hamburg marked with the words:
"Departure NY 04/10/09
Arrival HH 04/17/09
Queen Mary --Anne
Also the map on page 42 has an X near Hamburg.
There you go.
Jason
There's definitely no Queen Mary arriving tomorrow in Hamburg! The ship is on the way to South Hampton and will arrive there on 20 April.
@Jason: Can you please post this map on page 42!

Online version of Cunard brochure. There is indeed a Hamburg voyage on page 42, but heading out of Southampton. If that's the same map, then we're not going to get much detail...

I think that's not the same brochure, because this one is for December 2009, not for April.
I called a travel agency and they told me that the Queen Mary's next arrival in Hamburg is only in August 2009...
Something is wrong...

Out of curiosity Jason, does your camera have a macro mode? It looks like a little flower usually. It'll take better close-up pictures than regular mode does.

Found an email in my mailbox today. If you already have this information, I'm sorry, but I'm not up to date with this ARG.

Here's Methos's audio file with the pitch altered to make it understandable.

Transcript for A Decision To Make
Quote:
It was a wise decision to come here. I really appreciate that. I'm sure you understand that I can't be here personally. For people like me secrecy is the highest bid.
I see your presence as a strong sign of commitment in this case. That shows me that you and your friends have evened up the sense of responsibility in the last weeks. Nevertheless, I assume that it is too late. You've got only one last chance to rewrite the story that destiny is about to dictate. It's up to you to stop things from happening.
Two of you have to go on a journey into the heart of darkness. The others will be their guides along the way. I have taken care of everything for this trip. The last thing I can do for you is to point you into the right direction. You will know where they have to go when you follow the instructions in the envelope. My support ends here. From now on you are on your own. I wish you best of luck. You'll need it.
