If you subscribe to them as a podcast, you get them in mp3 format, and you don't have to convert them. I am going to take a look at the latest with Audacity, and see what I can come up with.

Here is broadcast 5 without the voice or misc noise, just sounds like beeps and boops

Hmm, subscribing seems a good idea. I've just been converting them to .mp3 though. However, I got a few ideas for this new transmission, so I'll try them out through the day and get back to you.

EDIT: The version with voice and noises cut out seems to highlight a certain section of what Dave Dolan says - the bit where there is heaps of interference. Otherwise, if there was two separate types of beeps it could be morse code, but listening to the file it seems unlikely.

omg i thought the beeps might be useful, but then i convinced myself that whoever was recording it was in a room with a fire alarm with a missing battery. Kinda silly, when you think about it...

Yeah, I expected to have a new broadcast sitting there when I woke up. I wonder what's up.
However, this gives us more time to have a look at transmission 5. Although I've been pretty busy lately, I had an idea. However, I haven't tried it yet, so someone might want to look at it. If you listen, you'll see the static is carefully inserted in the gaps where Dave Dolan isn't talking. Perhaps removing the segments where Dave is talking will provide an audio track which can be reversed or something. If anyone wants to try it, go ahead, but if not, I'll try have another look at the transmission this weekend.

I agree, quite a bit of more static than the other transmissions. Listening to this transmission, reminds me a lot of the movie "Stephen King's 'The Stand'" in that scene where Kathy Bates plays a radio host, who is transmitting illegally, then the govt takes over the radio station and they tell her to cease and desist, but she announces over the air that she will refuse and starts to rant...then they shoot her live on the air...while Molly Ringwald's character and her father are listening to the broadcast...

Any other thoughts on this?

Okay, I just listened to the broadcast. I'm curious as to how the Home Guard found him myself, but we'll see. I'll try get the transcript up as soon as possible.
