Hopefully it will resurface soon.. the URL is too important to let it go nowhere..

There is now chatter between Twitter accounts for PHPUser4 and PHPUser5. I'm still not quite convinced that these accounts are in-game, but if they are then there's been some progress:

In the account image for PHPUser5, there's a pattern overlaid. It seems very plausible that it's a "QR code". I've attached an image of the pattern.

Edit: Whoa. According to the Wikipedia page about these quick response codes, some mobile phones (especially Japanese ones) can actually read them. I had no idea. Anyway, does someone have a phone that can do this?

Edit 2: Woops, I messed up a couple of pixels in the pattern. They're fixed now.

hm. well, my decoder produces:
"APUS:01-05 "

eta: also, I've added the twitter exchange to the wiki page
http://startrek.wikibruce.com/PHPChat

eta: just double checked the QR from the twitter image; got the same pattern, and same decode result.

eta: "APUS" all caps makes me think it's an acronym. Apus is a constellation, and APUS is the "American Public University System", and "Association of Part-Time Undergraduate Students" (U of Toronto)
Given that info, I have no idea what "01-05" would mean. Separately though, it might represent the 5 individuals we know of...

So my french-speaking girlfriend (who made me tell you guys that she is a fox) helped me write an e-mail to 'Ca' or Camile Dupont at cdupont969

I said (in french)
Quote:

Subject: Are you ok? Are you alive?

"Ca"
The others are worried about you, especially "O." We are here to help, we think someone has your communicator. What would you like us to do?

Regards,

P.s. Do you know how to draw a sheep?

and now for yet more waiting....

Chatter Wiki
Site Associations

On your wiki, you've associated "O" with 0101001101101001.jp. I assume you did this because "O," whom some of us have considered to represent "Hori Kei," has been speaking Japanese. However, "O" comes from http://01001111.com.

If PHPChatter5 is "Si," they would be associated with http://0101001101101001.jp, even though they're speaking English.

cool, if you see any issues like that, feel free to make the change, or comment about it on the talk page. I copied the order and connections from elsewhere, so I can't vouch for which is actually right Smile

edit: actually, Hori is the .jp site - according to a whois

Hori Kei

So, 0101001101101001.jp belongs to Hori Kei, who has been speaking Japanese. I get that. Does that mean that Hori is not "O" but actually "Si," because "O" comes from 01001111?

Yes, good point. In that case consistency trumps speculation, and as the others are decoded to their pseudonyms, I've switched Si and O, so it does seem that Hori's would translate to "Si".

That twitter conversation then makes sense. We would have assumed "Si" was PHPchatter5 but when Chatter4 was talking to Chatter5, 4 mentioned "Si" as a third person. Just to be clear, do we know if that Twitter chat is IG?

We think so. Somebody over at trekmovie checked the date when the acounts were created. That was a day or so before the chat started and we all got to know those usernames. So they should be IG.

 Nicknames
I'm a little confused ...

Did anyone find out anything on the names "Karnis," "Janus," and "Candir."
Unless I missed something, those ARE a few of the chatter's ... uh ... names, right?

Chatter5 ("O") called Chatter4 ("Fe") "Candir." I don't know if it helps but that's French for, like, "Candy." Chatter5 chats in English so either Candir is Chatter4's name or Chatter5 was expressing their feelings towards Chatter4 in French, like "sweety" or something. But then ... Chatter4 is Ferdinand Franco?

Also, in the first chat, when it's just Chatter3 ("Al") and Chatter4 ("Fe") ...
Chatter3: What do you think I'm doing? Are you "Fe"?
Chatter4: Yes. Who else would I be?
And then ...
Chatter4: It was Karnis' idea.
Chatter3: "Fe's" idea. And yeah, he didn't think about it.
Why would Chatter3 refer to "Fe" as if Chatter4, who they're alone with and talking to, ISN'T "Fe?"

I'm assuming Karnis is "Ca" because the chatters were waiting for Karnis to join the chat but Karnis never did and Chatter2 wasn't present. Thing though is Chatter2 is supposedly Camille Dupont. Would anyone happen to know what Karnis means or ... I don't know.

Furthermore, Chatter4 tells Chatter3 "Shut up, Janus." Chatter3 though is supposedly Albert Stein. What does Janus mean?

Did I miss something? Can I get some help here?

I hear ye spanky. I went through that exact same confusion. Then I gave up. And just decided to list the chat with the user numbers and what we know about the names.
I don't think the names to chat# list is set in stone. I don't know how the person who posted that particular pairing came to that conclusion. But oh well.
Hopefully we'll find out soon enough.

Apus

Apus apus is a bird.
I found out:
"The adult weight greatly varies with the weather, and is heavier in May than later in the summer"
(Lack: "The Breeding Biology of the Swift Apus apus")
