@gamblin: welcome on board. We all do ot know the passwords.

@Taladan: Now after you solved it, it is simple Wink

Nobody made any progress o the morse? Unfortunately I have no time today.

Rgearding the "A.D." hint from Lowkey for the "somewhere to begin puzzle". Only writer I know with these initials: "Dante Alighieri" who wrote the divine comedy. Would somehow fit but no luck with the password so far. (tried: hell, pulgatory, paradise, virgil, beatrice)

Welcome to Taladan & gamblin!

@Taladan I'd never have thought of phonetics, instead I was thinking anagrams & came up with a lot weird & amusing things. So forget the fish, take a Brownie ! Smile

I made some progress with the Morse code, but what I'm getting is not very useful:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
THE BUILDING REMAINS EMPTY, BUT SOMEBODY HAS RESTARTED ANIOS

No idea what it means or who could have placed it there. Perhaps someone else can recheck, please?

@AUZ If "A.D." really means Lastname.Firstname there'd also be Douglas Adams and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which would fit with lowkey remark that he's
Quote:
Browsing something else at the moment, sort of a sci-fi affair.

I'm looking at it the other way at the moment, and try to find authors with A.D. as Firstname.Lastname. initials. No luck so far.

Helloooo there.

Hopefully this one'll come out to be interesting, it's already semi-entertaining... at least we have these Ennead vids to watch Very Happy

Ok so: still don't know the password for the "Somewhere to Begin" post

Anios sounds like the spanish word 'anos' (pretend there's a little squiggly over the n) which means 'year.' That's all I can think of, regarding the A.D. clues that LowKey talked about.

Also: Psy, were you talking about how when Lisa took the picture of her "My favorite book is great" email, there's some paper underneath? I'm trying SUPER hard to see what's under there, but all I can get is:

something INCLUDED
"K" Series M-something something
"46" (?) Elemental Variation or maybe Variants

I don't think it's important...

that is all.

Welcome Taladan, gamblin & _ghost Smile

Add another pw protected post "Transportation Required" on BOH-Jenny Oaks. -I don't know the password...

@AUZ & Trillian: I tried many variants of "Dante A." (primarily using refs from "Inferno") and then thought that wasn't correct, so I switched up to "A.D. as Firstname.Lastname. initials" with no luck so far as well Sad

Correct, that's what I meant. I basically got the same results as you (with the text). I also didn't think it was important, but threw it out there because I wasn't positive.

Thanks to AUZ for posting the audio rips, and to Trillian for breaking that down! I will try to decode that Morse in a bit as well, but I think that both your efforts will trump my check as I almost lose my mind when Michael starts talking. For the record, the results I had last night on the Morse were more closely related to Trillians attempt.

ETA:
I just went through the Morse 2 times & with some tweaking I think that Trillian is correct with:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
THE BUILDING REMAINS EMPTY, BUT SOMEBODY HAS RESTARTED ANIOS:
- .... . / -... ..- .. .-.. -.. .. -. --. / .-. . -- .- .. -. ... / . -- .--. - -.-- --..-- / -... ..- - / ... --- -- . -... --- -.. -.-- / .... .- ... / .-. . ... - .- .-. - . -.. / .- -. .. --- ...

I saw that BOH protected post last night and was wondering if it somehow ties into the email from Jenny Oaks "La Crosse, parking"

I am stuck in this mindset, and I am sure that it is not the right path, but I have no idea where else to go with it.

Also, I am confused as to where to use the login JACOB

Maybe I will switch my brain over to lowkey's cryptic response.

ETA:

So I have been tossing this around.

lowkey wrote:
It has something to do with A.D. One who wrote in the same world as the other.

What if A.D. = Anios and Diocletian?

Anios was the mythical (greek) Mycenean King of Delo, the son of Apollo.

Diocletian was a Roman Emporer Full name = Gaius Aurelius Valerius Diocletianus

Wiki has some good (lengthy) info on Diocletian, and here (click for link) is a good description of the mythology of Anios.

I am wondering who would have been alive to write in both the Greek and Roman worlds

Any ideas? Suggestion? Am I waaaaay off base?

EATAM (edited again to add more):

I don't know if anyone else has read click here for Ennead in Wiki but it lists the Great Ennead (Egyptian) as:

Ra,Shu, Tefnat, Geb, Isis, Nephthys, Nut, Osiris, and Set. Now I know that these are Egyptian, and that we are looking for the biblical equivalent for names, but it could be a starting point.

BAH! I have been reading so much (and it is all interesting) that my brain is mixing it all up.

Taking a break.

@gamblin: Dont sweat it heheeh we all search until the wheels fall off, looking for something / anything. Keep it up!

Lisa video update titled "I found something". And blog post titled "USB Stick" (I think she's basically confirming Trillians decode on the Morse) with 4 pics from a file on the USB stick titled: SOMEWHERE TO BEGIN

She also talks about posting a .pdf later tonight.

Notes: Atleast 2 of the pics are named different then they appear on the post (cant check this now though). The pics show (I think) a knot, Sherlock (Holmes), Butcher & a month from the 2010 Calendar (year from now?). And the guy that wrote Sherlock Holmes is Arthur (Conan) Doyle -Dunno if this author or the pics are a hint for the pw on that post with the same title though...

And [SPEC] This is a stretch, but if you say that stuff quickly it kinda slangs out to something like "not Sherlock, but your here". I know I'm stretching it here, & damn I gotta get back to work now Sad. Hopefully she posts that .pdf somewhere tonight.

Or, "Not Sherlock Holmes, but you're near"

I think we need more info.

Wanna hear something funny(ish)?

I thought that "lowkey" sounded so familiar. So, today when out of frustration I was double checking the ASCII conversion from diocletianscourt.com I went to my (very) old bookmark folder from the LOST ARG. Lo and behold! There in my tools bookmark is a site from Lowkeysoft. That was where I used to get all my conversion tools from. Seem he is/was a LOST nut and loved ARGing. Laughing

I think that it has not been mentioned here, yet.

Reasonableman from the wiki has found a new site from the references in Episode 4 of The Ennead:

The butcher image is from here (found via the title "U648051INP"):
http://pro.corbis.com/search/Enlargement.aspx?CID=isg&mediauid=%7B88DCB1DE-B049-45BE-B014-7C0CF4E75B2F%7D

The only month starting with first on Sunday in 2010 is August.

Not sure if these things are related.

Taking the phonetic approache I would suggest something like:
"Not share lock, but share ..."

I'm thinking the same but I'm stuck, too.

Just thinking out loud here:
Picture #2: could depict SEARCH/LOOK or HOMES
Picture #3: could be PAY or BUY (=> BY)
Doesn't really make sense so far: Don't look/search by month. Rolling Eyes

Picture #4(1): Since the filename of this one is 41.jpg I looked for 4.jpg and found this (not very exciting) image in Lisa's blog directory: leaf

@AUZ Did you tell Lisa that she's being followed? There's no mention of it in her blog.

No, I did not, but will write her now an email.

BTW:
Recognized a strange behaviour regarding password protected posts. Maybe others can check, too.

If I put the password for the "Anios is everything" (pasword="anios") into the box for this url:
http://anioscorporation.com/diocletianscourt/
everything works fine and the post appears.

Doing the same at
http://www.diolectioanscourt.com (which also loads from the anioscorporation site) the post does not appear and it seems like "anios" is incorrect.

I am using IE.

That domain gives me a 404 - on two different connections. Sad
ETA: But it works without the www. part! Passwords too, in Firefox.

But otherwise: Count me in! This looks nice.

And to add at least SOMETHING useful: I was thinking along the same lines as Trillian - the Sherlock could be something like "Homes" too.

ETA: Lisa posted the .pdf

@AUZ: I get the same results you get with IE (Firefox works fine though)
With IE http://www.diocletianscourt.com/ =pw "anios" does not work
Also: Forgot to mention the nice job at spotting the person in Lisa's pics. -To me in a strange way I'm thinking the person could be Michael (I'm primarily looking at the hair). - Or it could be Princess2 as Michael Wink

@marthajones: Welcome! The link AUZ posted is formatted incorrectly as "diolectioanscourt" Wink

ETA: Lisa just posted the pdf with a hint in the title & PDF info states:
Title: Microsoft Word - longitude lat clue.doc
Author: Terry Miles
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
caps on the doc spell "NORTITTHTWESIT" so I get "North West" with some extra letters Dunno wth this is though...

Also the pic she posted is titled "pw"

Here's a link to the PDF file from the USB stick.

And here's the last thing, a picture of some guy.

-Oh & there is also the following remark at DC by "Vesper" on "Keep Your Eyes Open": они имеют меня
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Russian-English translates to: They Have Me

Not for me! I get nothing but a blank page, no matter if I enter the correct password or anything else. Cursing

RE: Lisa's PDF: the text itself doesn't make much sense to me. But:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
from the file properties:
title: Microsoft Word - longitude lat clue.doc
author: Terry Miles

When you "Select all" [Strg + A] you'll see that there are coordinates hidden within the text: 49°17'25.58" and 123°1'44.85"

49°17'25.58" 123°1'44.85" => North of China, woods
-49°17'25.58" 123°1'44.85" => ocean, south of Australia
-49°17'25.58" -123°1'44.85" => South Pacific
49°17'25.58", -123°1'44.85" is a location in Vancouver, a place near the Iron Workers Memorial bridge and a 'train station'(?) screenshot

@Trillian: that sux about the pw not working. I don't get it...
Oh, and how did you get the coordinate text to be viewable? -When I first opened that pdf up I did a "select all", but nothing was visible except blocked characters "underneath & after". Based on that I started to lose my mind wondering what the hidden text was, & then I noticed that you posted this Rolling Eyes . I still cant get the coord text to be viewable though...
