definitely an awesome connection.

For anyone else that has time - we've been in the IRC channel that Syn started earlier in the thread. Jump in for plenty of speculation and strange off-topic conversations. Fun for the whole family! (children under the age of 8 require adult supervision, and will undergo brainwashing following the chat session to prevent future emotional damage).

 		Sorry for the double-post, but technically I last posted yesterday... Twisted Evil

I started following up on a few things yesterday, primarily "findthewriter". As I was reading back through the forums here - I ran across usaoracleproject.blogspot.com again. All of the content has been removed, just like PK's blog - except the email address for Bernard (?) is still there - starr.bernardSPLATyahoo.com!?

I dropped a quick email to him, asking if he'd be willing to chat/provide any information he could about the project. Which accomplished something 3VIL Schwinn suggested yesterday in the IRC chatroom. He mentioned that we should probably try to get in touch with Hatch's(the guy from the manuscript) Dr. Bernie. This is most likely him - so I'm still waiting for a response.

I was also searching through www.brianbricker.com - looking at the source for each page, etc. I can't remember which page specifically it was, but in the tags, it had Oklahoma...? Why? Nothing on his website suggests or says anything about OK. The other tags mentioned San Francisco, wine country and the like. I wasn't able to find anything any more relevant, just thought it was strange.

And....
Received another email from Val Seer. This one is just odd. I've read it a couple of times now, looking for something hidden - but I must be missing something:

The formatting, spelling etc is exactly as how it appeared in the email to me. I've searched a bit through the site, but it has thoroughly confused me as to how it relates. I've gone through and found the parcel of land that we think somehow relates to Jenny (where she was raised, used to live, where Porter was headed?) - but I'm not sure of teh significance. I'm going to keep digging - but if anyone else gets a chance - check it out. The parcel# for the property is R0040132 or the property next to it (not positive which is the actual site) R0040133.

I'll check back in when work slows down.

HOLY $#!T is right! You can't fake that kinda info - and that level of detail for an ARG is incredible! Granted - they just used this guys name, and integrated it into the story - but still!

[speculation] Ok back to (alternate) reality. So just trying to add 2+2 on this. We know that most likely Jenny lived in Oklahoma as a result of some of the details from the manuscript. The Sooners sweatshirt, and so forth.
We also know that Port had some reason to believe that Jenny was still alive - and so he bounced outta NJ like the devil was chasing him - heading to OK. During one of the conversations with him, he made the seemingly random comment about "1407 Oakhurst".
The jpg of the front of the house that was found, in what looked completely unrelated to anything going on (portal.jpg I believe) - and thanks to some awesome detective work by Classical - found the Street View on Google Maps of the house - confirming the address. Which of course 3v1L Schwinn just determined was once owned by none other than Brian Bricker.
[meta]as a funny(?) side note - the package I got in the mail was from a Starbucks near the house. 3v1L Schwinn is still convinced that this is a massive promotional campaign for Starbucks, and the launch of a new kind of coffee Laughing [/meta]

Rambling aside - does this point to Jenny being Bricker's daughter? Or maybe her and her family sold the house to Bricker, or maybe she just rented it from him - either way there's a connection. But it still doesn't offer much in the way of explaining why Bricker seems to know so much about the Oracle. One thing I noticed in the manuscript though - Port's description of Jenny seems to mimic very closely the way Hatch describes the Oracle. As being willing to do anything for her, comparing her with angels, etc....
Is the Oracle a reincarnated Jenny? or vice versa? Or maybe, Jenny's the offspring of the Oracle.. who knows. I'm just kinda typing out the thoughts as they come.

Ok - last question. Why is the house being referred to as "the portal"? The portal to what?!?

That Jenny is The Oracle seems plausible.

I have been working on the "findthewriter" thing and one of the first things I came up on a couple days ago was a twitter account for "TheWriter" http://twitter.com/TheWriter a Ms. Josephine March, who is the main charactor in "Little Woman" by Louisa May Alcott http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Women#Characters

That being said - I never expected to be searching a real county assessors office website, verifying that someone we're trying to track down owned a house 4yrs ago... Wink
