Is this implying that the microbe image is a secondary puzzle? If not, what is it implying?

Pharmament/Dave have 3 separate files, the picture was only the first file given to us

No I think the question was pertinent.
They gave as one file (the image), which lead us to another file (the X1A web page), which lead us to another file (the video).
So until they told us they "moved on to the second" puzzle/file, I was on the fence.

PS: alternatively, we're both loosing it due to age.

 		I can't get the demon face or the male symbol to line up. The cube doesn't seem to want to rotate that way. I think all of the other faces can line up in the proper orientation.

Hmmm...
Male(1)
Daemon face (2)

Could lead to 12, or 21

I noticed because .. well, on a standard 6-sided die, the sum of the sides opposed each other is 7 (6 is opposed 1, 2 is opposed 5, 3 is opposed 4), which is one more than the max value..

The sum of all numbers on the die right now goes to 13, which is one more than 12.. one of the numbers you could get by combining those two faces...

This seems way too convoluted to be meaningful.
