Okay - wild spec time. Most likely trout, but I've tried searching, and can't find anything.

We're assuming that Melissa is Durga, the AI that gets into the guy's computer. Now, assuming that's correct, let's go along that line of thought. We have memories of Jan, being arrested (it seems) and the conversation with her dad. Some are assuming that Durga was, or is, Jan. I don't know HOW, but... That's what I've been hearing. Now, I havn't heard anything about this idea here:

These are Melissa's memories. Melissa is in the computer, and she is asked for more information on Jan. Cut to - Jan in the police office, or what ever it is. Trying to piece this together, we could assume that the memories of Jan and her dad are simply Durga showing some stuff to the guy who's computer she got stuck in. Now, don't ask me where the rest comes into the puzzle, this is as far as I've figured out.

Trout me if this is already being discussed elsewhere, because I can't seem to find it. And I've already tried the search function.

That gives two main tie in points:

1. Its like you say and the AI can remotely access Jan's memories or experiences

2. The AI is showing her own memories and all that follows DURGA is just the AI replaying her own experiences

There's the proof it's wrong, jersey looks up Jan, when the AI is supposed to be Jan, SO that means that either Jan's memories where uploaded at around 16 (cause to live with one dad, you can't be 30 something) and even then her memorie as an adult wouldn't exist.

It seems as though Durga is the virus infecting the original Melissa, who was already comprised of Melissa (the AI) and memories from Jan (perhaps to make her more human-like). 3 in one. Anyone read their Bible lately?

Not only that, but here's more evidence from Phase 1. Kowalski is a tech who knows AI's better than anyone since it's his job.

ONI tech Kowalski: fr'instance - know what the single best correlate is for these babies, in terms of matching personality to service designation? Favorite game.

Midshipman Arrelts: Favorite game?

ONI tech Kowalski: You know, from before. Tag - that's regular navy, like destroyers. Command HQ is usually Truth or Dare, something like that. Red Rover -

The key here is the from before. This implies the AI's get created from something else. We all know Jan plays Truth or Dare!

Yes but the operator says her favourite is hide and seek not truth or dare

And given that they would all be seperate identities yet still equally Jan

Janhova?

It really does seem like the Holy Trinity now. We all know that bungie likes to do links with the Bible so its possible

[Wild Spec/Trout]

If My other attempt in posting this shows up somewhere, I am sorry, but I cant seem to see it anywhere in the forums.

I was wondering if the PM might have gotten the names of the Axons/Wav files from the stages of the Single player Halo 2. I am thinking of stage titles similar to Arrival, Wait it gets worse, The silent Cartographer (sp?) etc. They may have taken those names and developed the plot for this ARG around the titles to give us a teaser. Not that I have any proof/basis other than a 3am waking thought, but Just an Idea. Feel free to hit me w/trout!

To throw some further wild spec into the mix...
What if Durga is a Covenant spy AI sent to dig up information about the humans' newest military research or plans? Here we see Durga targetted to Jan James almost by coincidence, but Jan James and her father turn out to be exactly what Durga was made to find. So Durga locks on, recording all of the clip audio we've heard (none of which isn't recorded through SOME networked medium) and storing it for transmission back to the Covenant.
Spec again: Suppose Jan is a Spartan III subject and reaches a point in her maturity/training where she's shipped from Earth out towards the combat front. Durga infiltrates Melissa to follow along, and either realizes or is ordered to sabotage the ship. Leading to the crash.
This would leave us with Melissa as herself, Durga as Pious Flea, and Jan as Sleeping Princess.

We knew this from her diaries. She told the captian that she was functioning fine and the to herself, hoped it was true.

The big question, since Theorizer has pointed out Jan could not have been used to create Melissa due to Jersey's lookup of her, how can Melissa, an AI, have access or recreate Jan's memories? Is Jan alive?

[SPEC] A town named Paris

Mr. Trouty Pants wrote:
This Map shows there is a Paris Ave. in Bergen County, and there is a 23 Paris ave, even though the real life police station is 116 Paris ave. Maybe a clue, perhaps? I know it's a long shot. But dammit, we have no choice! Oh wait, we have a choice. Sorry about that.

Longshot posted previously that there are 23 towns named Paris in the US. What if the US abolished states? Then there would be 23 towns named Paris, USA. I suppose the reasonable thing to do would be to name the towns Paris 1 through Paris 23... Just a thought.

If Durga was sent back in time to a period before she was made from Jan then it is possible.
