Yes, James James does call Jan "Honey" --more than once, in fact, doesn't he? Jan is part of James' family. The high school, getting into trouble to help a friend, and the car conversation all point to Jan being James' child.

Even if the spartan modifications are surgical or implant based, the spartans were all chosen at an early age (6 years old?). Apparently, at least some of that superhuman potential is in them already.

Alright, more: [wild spec] Dad is on assignment that involves deep cover: getting married, having a baby, a normal life. Jan is born with the qualities that got her dad picked as a spartan. Dad realizes this early on and tries to curb her, but to little avail. Jan's reckless antics endanger Dad's mission.[/wild spec][/i]

 		DigitalCowboy beat me to the Jan = SPARTAN conjecture. But there is evidence to suggest this. Jan jumps from a hight of 3 stories and gets right back up. She is faster than the security camera operator (hiding by clinging to the ceiling). All the secrecy her father tries to keep about her.

Probably the same way Jersey can interject a jealous girlfriend into a conversation many, many miles away. They're not memories but recordings.

Saying that Jan = Date Girl seems like a big leap. For one thing, Date Girl has a name, and it isn't Jan. They also don't sound alike and they don't seem to have similar personalities.

This may be totally OT, but here goes anyway:

Does anyone else think that maybe Jan and her dad burnt down the police station after they left? Maybe the police figured something out they weren't supposed to.....

Or I could just really not like cops....


I have one last major question though: All of this info is great. I think we are very close to unraveling whatever this secret is. BUT, what does any of this have to do with bees? You can't tell me that it is just some random website. It has to mean something.

Someone somewhere mentioned that the bee reference may be to a new race in Halo 2, which is a good theory. The first game had the flood which was a big suprise. Maybe this one follows suite. We do know that The Covenant are playable in multiplayer. So, here is a spec for ya: What if this new bee-like race is a totally neutral race? Maybe the humans and covenant have to join together against them. Who knows.

While I'm on the subject of OT subjects: what about the pages on ilovebees that states "A Covenant Transmission" near the top. What does that have to do with anything?

Also the cam operator recognizes her, so she's probably military. Her "dad" is in Special Ops (and wasn't there a "Special Special Ops" mention) and she's so important to keep secret to start a bonfire over?

Thinking we need a seperate thread or threads to keep spec on just the characters straight, at least Durga and Jan.

Bees, has to do with the queen, mutliple other references, like Durga, she mentions she stung them.

OK, Here's my take:

Jan is a (Spartan, protoype, Spartan 3, whatever) which means she has an AI chip implanted in her.

evidence:
Jersey says to her "ok, at least you've got some encryption" at the beginning of say_something. A person having encryption definitely indicated some kind of chip / programming involved.

In say_something he ghosts her. I've been taking that as reads her brainwaves or whatever and recreates exactly what's been happening to that person so it can be veiwed / heard later.
evidence: talks about sorting out sleep time in message_saved

my Theory is that when he Ghosts Jan, he created Druga. He recreated Jan's AI on his computer and that recreation evolved itself into Durga, taking over his whole system, wiping out Jeanie, etc...

He calls her Durga, the name of a goddess and says it's "at least partly right". how can he know this unless he knows SOMETHING about her. We know he has a crush on Jan, perhaps so big he thinks of her as a Goddess...

 		Jan is James' daughter. James is not a SPARTAN II. More than likely, he's a ONI spook. Jan wouldn't inherit metal grafted to her bones from anybody anyway. Even if the Master Chief had a kid, they wouldn't have a metal augmented skeleton and they wouldn't have augmented muscles. They would have good reflexes, probably a good battle awareness, and they'd probably inherit his luck. That's it.

People on steroids don't have super-strong babies.

WTF, no it does not. Spartans are interfaced to their armor, but they do not have AI implanted in them.



ok, but Jan definitely is more than human. I still think that when Jersey Ghosts her he created Durga.

 		there's a biiig problem with dickign with hormones. removing testosterone casues breast growth, reduced strength and muscle mass.

removing estrogen increases a women's chances of osteoporosiss, heart diseases and other helath problmes, not to mention that the lack of estrogen to balances out the testoterone made by her adrenal glands might cause excess hair growth deepened voice and other masculinized traits.

supressed sexual drive doesn't mean that sperm isn't being produced.
a more likely explination is that they have been trained to ignore those feelings and desires, or just got the tubes tied. that process can be reversed. there's also artifical inseminations, fertility treatments ((there is a surgical procedure to get sperm from the testes) and of course, lovely cloning. though with current cloned technology all clones would be female
