Even if it isn't an ARG, its pretty cool.
It reminds me about one German ARG-esque radio station placed near abandon nuclear plant - they are sending spy messages and codes and it's actually a geocaching project. The plant were an active spy center.[/OT]

Radio stations will do a format reboot when the are sold off sometimes. Play terrible music, something annoying, or outlandish so that when you pass it on the radio you will go WTF? and if you are an old listener you get the point that the format is changing. I heard of one that set a computer to read a countdown for a week or so until the new station was running.
That being said, i want to buy it up and play nothing but the radio stations from Fallout 3.

Yeah, we had a station here change format and their new name was to be The End. They played It's the End of the World by REM for like 48 hours straight or something.

Don't mind us, we thought we'd stumbled on something that was part of a game

It would be pretty sweet if there was an ARG radio station that played good music, talked about upcoming ARGs and ARG related things and had ARG related contests with prizes.

Nice idea. Till now I don't know something of this kind. I'd loveto listen to this radio. The only possibility (and a great one) is http://www.argnetcast.com/
