Something the Matrix and Space Odyssey have in common is the concept of intelligent machines.... Maybe the password is singularity or Turing?

GOT IT!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Using the passphrase "HAL9000" yields the_bird_in_the_hand.7z . When extracted you get a .WMV of the same name with some garbled sound and a picture of a bird. Working on figuring out the audio.

EDIT!!:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Sped up a few times, the audio says "How do you get into Carthage?"

I dunno, how?

Btw, is that all that's in the audio? Can you post it for us?

Not sure what all of this is supposed to mean. Here's the original video file, and a sped up version (I just applied the "Speed Up, Double" video effect in Windows movie maker a few times). By the way, I figured out that you really have to view both files in Windows Media Player for them to work properly, it seems.

What's that high-pitched thing at the very end?

Well, on the normal version, it sounds like a tape rewind or something like that.

The end part definitely sounds like a voice when slowed down in movie maker. Anyone know an app that can extract the sound from WMVs so we can tweak in Audactiy?
