Any Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles Fans Here?
ARG-ish (Grassroots) Project

As my subtitle says, this isn't really for a full-blown ARG, rather a narrative-based grassroots effort to help keep the show on the air.

There are plenty of petitions out there to sign, but I'd like to put something together that shows more dedication to the show...

Basic concept (and I don't mind posting it here, since this isn't for an actual game): A resistence member was sent back to enlist recruits ahead of judgement day.

New recruits fully know what's going down and have signed on to be the front-line resistence.

So, instead of just doing a type your name here to show your support for the show, I'd like to do an "underground" enlisting campaign using the scenario above.

Hopefully get some publicity for the effort, and show FOX a list of people willing to put it all on the line to fight for John Connor.

So, here's what I'm looking for:

1 (maybe 2) web designers
1 graphic designer
a couple writers
1 web developer
a couple web researchers--people to help source enlisting targets and places to seed the campaign
Many people to possibly do street team-level activities...

At the least this could be a fun--and short time committment--project. At best we might make a difference.

Interested? Send a message to jlreidSPLATviralnarrative.com or PM me.

Maybe an even better idea would be to have the arg serve as an ending to the series. (Fanfiction though, but still).
That depends on the chances the series will actually return.

Anyway, good luck,

Dominic

I do hope you realize there was an ARG related to the first season of the series. I got involved in that a bit, and wrangled a friend from the other side of the country into it long enough to retrieve a drop. It didn't gather enough steam it seems, because they didn't try it again the next season, nor did anything from the game really tie into the series.

T:SCC is going to have it's fate announced in May, right about the same time that T4 comes out (Terminator: Salvation). I have a suspicion that either the film is going to tell us how the series may tie in, or destroy all continuity between the series and films and basically destroy all chances for the sort of consistency usually needed to keep such a franchise alive. If nothing else, maybe Fox just wants to see if the box office opening for T4 is strong enough to suggest there's a fan base large enough to make the series worth continuing.

The Terminator franchise has frankly been faltering since T3 came out. (I was actually glad that T:SCC basically erased the events of T3 from canon. That film was a major sucky cash-in.) The film if it's any good may help right the franchise a bit, but if it's got any serious conflicts of continuity with T:SCC that could actually spell the end for the series.

Terminator: Dark Discovery won a Webby and claimed 2 million impressions, so it could have done a lot worse...
