um, no.

Well, the problem is, the correct blackened "1" does mean another all are white...

I don't suppose we can brute force it...

The submit button submits a form with an array of 0's and 1's but it's a string of 39x39 = 1529 characters.

So we have two options and we want to know how many ways we can ways we can populate these 1529 slots. Let's just say it is sufficently dense that I can't brute force it.

Possible Problems with the QR's in Regards to Bayer
If entering the QR's correctly in Bayer is the key, we might have a problem.

This QR is listed in the Wiki as the QR for "PHOENIX:01-20"

I noticed one was off in the lower left so I moved it over.

Now, my correction was based off of what Wikipedia says about QR codes but there's a problem. A lot of people have the idea entering the QR's correctly into JohannBayer.eu will unlock something, and images sent via email to people from CTT give them good reason to. But both the images read PHOENIX:01-20. Which is right?

Also on the Wiki is this image for our newest QR "4,n0m4d5,c1u3:"

I was looking at the video and pulled up this frame:

If you notice, there's a little cross-like image of four pixels to the lower left on the Wiki image but in the frame it appears there's another pixel to the left of the bottom pixel in that cross. So I made this image:

Sure enough, both of these read the same as well. Which is right?

UPDATE: More possible problems

This is another still from the last received video. To look at this one more closely go here: http://s155.photobucket.com/albums/s290/spankykiddo/?action=view&current=00085.jpg

I think there's a difference than the one found in the Wiki ...

It might look like this ...

This one reads the same as well.

QR Codes

This will be a big problem as QR codes have error correction built into them, and if they need to be exact for the johannbayer.eu puzzle, it will be impossible to recreate. Has anyone regenerated the codes and see if they match with the ones we have?

well I think the best chance at accuracy is re-encoding what we believe the phrases to be, and use those, even if other versions decode to the same text.

Obviously, the PMs have messed up a few bits here and there. (Pun intended!)

I hate to think that QR codes are the whole point of the ARG. The Curbridge Incident was humorous and funny when we were done, as it gave us Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, Madrid and Los Angeles city halls.

The Tokyo dance party was great too, with the hidden Romulan's sign.

But these QR codes are just bordering on the absurd. Wish they could go back to Romulan alphabetics and Google Earth coordinates and Twitter messages.

Even the street events in Berlin and Madrid were funny.

I'm starting to wonder why they didn't layer this more!! To have this all hinging on a 39x39 grid of 1,521 little on-off switches. Puh-lease. You fellow players have done such an admirable job trying all possible combinations of the 4 codes, even with today's containthethreat (13,13) entry point clue.

I sure hope the PMs have another Chapter ready to open...
