[dominic1978] So, my name is Dominic, I'm 30 years old. Live in Arnhem, Netherlands and have never played an ARG. However, I have read about ARG's for a long time and the concept has always fascinated me.

[dominic1978] I used to run a quite succesful hip-hop site (illhill.com) from 2003 till around 2007, but the content part was quite boring compared to the fact that I just love to create things.

[dominic1978] Indeed, Illhill. I basically got bored with running the site and got into a relationship at the same time which limited my time to spend on illhill

[dominic1978] But, creativity just keeps itching, so I wanted to do something. Had started on a book (currently shelved) and started playing around with flash again

[dominic1978] RS: no: Adam2012 originally thought that if he would save Eve, they would be together. However, he found out that our timeline started to change from his, so they are two seperate timelines in two seperate realities. So by sacrificing Adam 2009 he saved

[dominic1978] But I planned on having them look different and use different media and luckily indeed people started voicing that it could be a coincidence due to Godaddy's shared hosting

[dominic1978] @Olorin: yes and no. They were meant to cross, I kept the moment open due to you guys having quite a bit of influence on the game as far as inspiration

[dominic1978] No, the connection was not intended to make fun of Olorin, at that point I was already working on the files and puzzles to connect them

[dominic1978] Adam2012 was only able to transfer data to our reality. So, what better to communicate with than an AI?

[RikaLeigh] I still can't get over that not only was this your first time PMing, you've never played an ARG before
[dominic1978] @Eye_Spy - communication with both Eve and Adam was shut down. So there was nothing to prevent that.

[dominic1978] @RikaLeigh: maybe me never playing an Arg actually helped. In the beginning I definitely felt like I was re-inventing the wheel when I shouldn't but on the other hand, I also came with fresh things that weren't done before (at least I hope)
[Olorin] [cont] the quadrant-based knight move on the Codex image. I'm not sure we would have ever figured that code out without being 'lucky' upfront with some substitution.
[Olorin] Did oyu expect us to solve it by 'luck' first and then figure out the codex ?
[dominic1978] @RikaLeigh: there were a lot of puzzles the last couple of months, none were missed, I made sure a character would at all times point them out
[E.Y.E. Spy] do you have any advice for a new pm?
[dominic1978] @Eye_Spy: yes, just do it. That's the best way.

[RikaLeigh] Sometimes point them out=grab our face and point it in the right direction when we're completely lost

[dominic1978] Ok, read a lot about ARGs and I'm a huge fan of things like: Lost, The Usual Suspects, Donnie Darko, David Lynch Movies, Harry Potter. All things that have great story twists or mysterious elements. I am also a fan of The Stand and Zombie Movies.
[RikaLeigh] Did you do all the character communication yourself? And was it a challenge to do wordplay in English?

[dominic1978] @Rikalaigh: Well, luckily my hip-hop site was in English and I actually interviewed a lot of American rap artists and been in contact with a lot of record company people, so English wasn't really a problem. As for word play:
[dominic1978] Well I used to write hip-hop lyrics, for which you need quite a lot of wordplay.

[dominic1978] @Olorin: the worst time, for me was outside the game: my gf broke up with me in the beginning of March, we had bought a house in April 2009. So I had quite a lot to deal with during the game. And the game just basically helped me put aside the...

[Olorin] I agree that they didn't look 100% 'real' but they didn't bother me.. sort of minor things I guess, that the suspension of disbelief made me accept

[dominic1978] @CokeZero: probably build better sites. Made a bit less puzzles (Any idea I got during the game resulted in a puzzle for you guys, and there were quite a lot I think)

[dominic1978] B000003TA4 is a number which leads to the Nirvana Nevermind cd. Number 5 is the track "lithium"
[dominic1978] But from what I read about the solve, the solve was figured due to Benjamin being involved with a Nirvana album cover and lithium having 3+4 molecules etc. etc. etc. but that was definitely not how it was intended to be solved. I didn't even know.

[dominic1978] What I also considere quite funny was how (I believe it was Mycroft) came in from the pharmament thread out of curiosity, had basically one glance at the Divina Commedia puzzle and solved it.

[dominic1978] If you enter "poison" into babelfish it will give the kanji I used. But translating it back gave a whole different meaning. So I added method to the textfield, hoping the clue would be picked up. And it was :)
