That "torn.jpg" is a photo of the original Star-Spangled Banner on view at the Smithsonian National Museum

Merago, it looks like you were on the right track with Oh Say Can You See based on amandel's nice find of the torn flag. No idea what to do with that number string, though, and am perplexed by the underscore in it.

Steghide maybe?

Using the password OSCYS?

Or something of the sort?

The image of the flag matches size and dimensions of the image from the smithsonian site

Shocked

I pulled that out of my ass. Complete fluke if it is true. But, yeah, I don't see how the number string applies. As far as I can see, there are only 4 verses to The Star Spangled Banner, unless it's broken down in to musical segments?

Using The Star Spangled Banner as the key, it seems to read: can you solve the_riddle?.....
except 2.2.3 should be 2.2.2. Dunno

Nice work Amandel! I'd tried fitting the song to the number string when I first guessed at OSCYS, but I couldn't get it working so I assumed it was the wrong track. How did you work it out?

Oh, and it leads us here:- http://argensoft.netau.net/the_riddle.php

EDIT- Wait, I see now. Line.Word.Letter, right?

Ok, clicking the first one takes us to a page with a padlock, clicking the second gives a jigsaw puzzle that, when completed, reads:-

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Now, while the sun rests on the mountains light, Thy bright torch of love...

Which is from William Blake's "To the Evening Star"

The end of the line would be "thy bright torch of love, thy radiant crown"

And clicking the third gives another padlock...

Maybe we've to solve these in order? Hope not, I've just stupidly clicked away from my completed jigsaw, now I'll have to do it again! Smile

EDIT- The first, grey square, when clicked, leads to a page past.php, with the image of the padlock. The second, with the puzzle is present.php and the cube leads to future.php

Could mean that past and future puzzles are locked until we 'solve' the present one ?

Got it. The first solution is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://argensoft.netau.net/evening.php

Which appears to be a screengrab from the Nuclear Threat Initiative page...

EDIT- And now, the future has opened up

Since "nuclear" is highlighted, maybe it's a password?

Could be. It may also be that we need to get a word from each of the three puzzles

EDIT- Ok, Future.php leads to a slide puzzle which has the text "Where does this lead? and, when completed shows-

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
T-10

which leads to http://argensoft.netau.net/launch.php

which is another screengrab, this time worldwide is highlighted

EDIT2- Past is now unlocked and leads to a black page, there's an image there which is a crossword style thing with some scrambled text underneath. The text unscrambles to-

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The quick brown fox jumped over the brown dog

The word "lazy" is missing from the line, so we're lead to

http://argensoft.netau.net/lazy.php

Which has the word strike highlighted

No idea where to go from there though.

Props Merago! Maybe you should just email "youfoundme" mentioning you solved his riddle and are aware of (his?) plans for a worldwide nuclear strike?
