A return to ARG

I think it was about 4 years ago or more when i first heard what an ARG was. I got caught up in the OUR COLONY for xbox, and was hooked. Played a few more small ARG's, then completely lost touch. Didnt have the time to even try. Well now i have a huge amount of time on my handds and i want to get back to it. Read the whole 43 pages of I'm Sorry, but i hate jumping in a game thats gone onf or awhile. Makes me feel like i am a party crasher. So if anyone knows of a few that are starting soon or just beginning, a PM would be immensely appreciated.
On a side note, why can't there ever be a drop in Ohio? Anyone close to or around Dayton? Anyways, i don't know if im even putting this int he right spot to even be seen, but my hopes is that this will help get me dragged back into ARG because i miss it.

sigh

Well at least one person was nice enough to point me to something. Ive been lurking I'm Sorry<tgatt> and even posted, and was immediately ignored. I remember ARG people being much more open and friendly Sad.

Either way, just bored on a sunday night.

Don't stress about joining a game that is in progress. You read the thread and visit the game sites.

Check out the chat room as well (start in the #unfiction room and then find out if there has been one set up specifically for the game you are lurking).

We (ARG players) are still a friendly bunch. I haven't been following that game so I don't know what you posted/or how. But don't assume people are ignoring you. It's like any new kid in the sandbox, takes a little time for folks to get to know you.

Social Interactions forum is a great place to find out if there are other ARG players in your home town (or vicinity). The more players in your local area, the better the chances there might some day be a deaddrop or live event near you. But frequent interaction with different ARGs (and different PMs) will get you noticed on their radar/mailing list. Can't expect intimate contact right out the gate. Establish yourself as a regular player and someone known for sharing information with other players, and that will increase your chances.
