TTHSK informed us in IRC that oraclewatch.org has been updated with a picture of a painting by Salvador Dali.

There's some javascript for an image swap, trying to figure out if it's used for anything now. Usually image swaps are for rollovers.

On any page in particular? I clicked every link and I see all legible English text. Perhaps your browser was reset to another language setting?

I only see templated scripts, like someone is using Macromedia to built their website but is not optimizing the code at all. The intent is to preload images before the page loads, to prevent lag or a broken image box; yes, it is commonly done to allow rollovers to swap smoothly, but in this case he's preloading only a single image (as far as I can see).

Does no one write html by hand anymore?

If you are using Firefox, check the following menu selection:
View -> Character Encoding -> Unicode / Western
With Western, the page loads fine; with Unicode selected, I can recreate your "error". This is neither a glitch nor a code, just your local settings.

Aw, damnit, my bad--the US Oracle blog, rather. >_> They all look the same in my feed reader. It was, however, posted under Bernard's name.

The tiger image was at the Portking blog actually? Posted by "A.D."
The Blog is now titled " . "

Before the tiger, there was another post by A.D.:
Quote:

1. No human beings will be harmed.

2. No laws will be broken.

3. We are in control.

4. You are safe.

That's kind of reassuring. Are they trying to get some message across with this and the Risk poem? 'Do not fear dear players, and take risks.'

I doubt it means anything significant but...
Crucifixion (Corpus Hypercubus): The scene is depicted in front of the bay of Port Lligat. Which is a small island off the coast of Spain. Also being Dali's home town. I cant see how that would play into this but I figured I would throw it out.

HAY GUYS

I only have a few seconds here, but: Bricker called. Twice.

Unfortunately, he had to call while I was at work, so no recording... not that much was said. I played dumb, giving him just enough for thought.

And he is very confused.

The first call mostly revolved around him asking if I had been sent anything else. The ticket, as he says, had been apart of a box that he had 'misplaced' somewhere between moving from OK to CA a few years back. There had been other things from his mother in it (probably the photos and the President letter and all that we've seen).
Syncs with Ron's story. So I wouldn't totally disregard everything Ron has said to us--he's still essentially a character in the game.

I told him that it had been sent to me from 'AR' in Santa Rosa, and the return address happened to be a Starbucks corporate headquarters. I mentioned that I thought 'AR' meant someone named 'Rage', hrr hrr.

As soon as I said 'Rage', though, I noticed something. He was breathing really unsteadily. Lots of empty pauses. I mean, there's good acting, and there's stage fright, but I don't think this was either of them, guys. I really don't.

Either way, I have his phone number and permission to call him again 'if something else shows up'. I could tenatively say that I've seen more, but I'm trying to play confused, y'know? (Not that hard, really, with a game like this.)

However, he called about five minutes later, which went something like this:
Bricker: 'Hey sorry to bother you again, but why did you think the ticket was sent to you by someone named Rage?'
Me: 'I don't know. That's the name he gave me: Arlen Rage.'
Bricker: '(huge, huge pause)'
Bricker: 'Oh. I see.' And he kinda flustered his way through hangup before I could another question in edgewise.

Next time he gets in contact, though... I'm gonna prod that.

More to come when I get off work in a few hours!

Someone can do me a favor in the meantime, though: research the number (773) 261-2483. This number called me about ten minutes before Bricker did, but I don't know anyone who lives in mid-Chicagoland. It might just be nothing, but... TINAG, right?

Sounds like a home phone. I called it and someone with a southern or north east answered so I hung up. I didn't know what to say.

I'll call back if someone wants me to ask questions.

Edit: from the phone book of google

Interesting times. brianbricker.com is gone; the 'domain has been cancelled'.
