I've been assuming we're supposed to enter the string of numbers into the textbox on the_riddle page. If so, 28 doesn't work (unless there's a formatting option I overlooked). Confused

Hmm... "can you see the carvings" and "symbol" lead me to believe we're looking for some pattern or something in either the wood grain/rings or the bark. I've done a brightness/contrast check and it doesn't appear to show anything in the rings, but then after all my adjustments I had a lot of artefacting. Anyone else see something?
