I agree with the order of the files so far and the two missing seem to appear to go in the right places as far as we are aware. However, I am curious to know if more are forthcoming.

I bring this up because if you splice the interrogation clips, they flow smoothly, no gaps or pops. However, on a couple of others, jersey for instance, although the sequence flows and appears complete, there are tiny gaps in the audio between clips. Just an editing problem? Or in some instances, a missing future clip?

Sometimes while reading a newspaper or magazine where it says continued on page X, the sentence fragment on the wrong page joins up with the first to make a regular complete sentence, that in the end is wrong.

I think we can also ink in four goats after beer -- we may not have gotten the WAV, but the MP3 floating around (do a search, you lazy bums!) pretty much lines it up there.

I'm still holding out hope that pillow somehow ties together the story threads -- it could just be cruel fate that leaves the one uniting file for the very end, right? If not, we should start looking for ways to tie the three plotlines not just together but with the Melissa/Dana saga (remember that?)

Keep in mind we need to really stay away from non-given information; ie, no Halo-AI Gymnastics that assume we know everything from the complete text of the terminals of Marathon up to Halo Book X: Another Shameless Cash Grab, part 2. I'm not saying it won't tie in, but let's assume for a moment that we're *not* in the Haloverse, K?

So, what do we have uniting the plot threads together, aside from some instances of harmless mischef? We have a power surge starting off each story. Connected? Does it mean the stories are simultaneous? <--already being discussed elsewhere.

What connects these stories to ILB? Well, we have certain stereotypes, that we've seen embodied in certain "Characters". We have the damaged, confused AI; we have the arrogant, mischiefous teenager; we have the truth-seeking detective, who needs to send a message. Do these stereotypes influence each other?

I think there's a deeper connection than just "Durga's an AI, so Durga=Melissa!" I think that the roles we see in each story have somehow influenced the events that have lead up to ILB. If we should guide our spec anywhere, it's not how "AI1 merged with AI2 and fell into a wormhole and now has a bee fetish!" I think the proper thing to ask is, why *these* stories?

Combined Sound Files

I've gone to considerable effort to splice the sound files we are POSITIVE about.

I even edited out the blank audio when it was distracting.

The open spaces are for four_goats (middle of act2), pillow(middle of act3), and I left out emergency because it's still not 100% where it appears.

Nice post, Ceantari, just to clear a couple of things up that may or may not have been mentioned:

The one guy's Kamal, and Hiro (Hiroyuki or something similar -- Yuki's not a separate person) is whispering "Hello? Hello?" at the beginning of the one tape. There's no Lou.

In law_abiding, Jan says that her friends "turtled a razorback." Razorback's probably the nickname of some kind of military vehicle, like the Warthog from Halo, and I'd imagine that turtling it means they flipped it over onto its back.

Dramatis Personae looks good, but I think it misses an important piece of speculation: that Jason Morelli, Jersey's father, is almost certainly the 'Wayfarer' from the Operator's Monologue, or at least an analogous character.
