Sophie Baxter-Wallop

I was caught well off guard today. I recieved an email from sophiebaxterwallopsSplatgmaildotcom, asking me if i was availible to chat with her about the expedition. She was recently employed to be a reporter/photographer of the expedition. This was my first time having a real time discussion and did my best. excuse the horrible typing and here is the conversation.

Sophie: John R U there?
me: Yes i am here
Sophie: First of all, let me say that I'm privileged to speak with such a renowned professor of linguistics!
me: No,please, th pleasure is mine
Sophie: and to be on the Sturdevant Expedition...wow!
me: I felt very honored to among the people chosen for the expedition. So many things to discover
Sophie: yes, what do you expect to discover?
me: To be honest I'm trying not to have any expectation, as to b able to meet anything with a fresh mind, and an open one also.
Sent at 5:36 PM on Sunday
Sophie: good answer! but aren't you worried about what will happen on this expedition, you know dangers known and hidden?
Sent at 5:38 PM on Sunday
me: As with any expediion, there are alwaysdazngers present. Yes i am mindful of them, and you need to be vigilant, but I do not want that worry to interfere wit any finds we can have.
But one would be slly to not keep n eye open, for outside.. and inner dangers
Sophie: I'm just worrying needlessly then?
me: No, iI did not meato infer that it was needles, but not t let it consume one away from what you tr to accomplish. If i ay sk, what worris are you most oncerned with?
Please excuse my horrible typing. A linguist with bad typing skills.
Sophie: LOL I see that you've filled out most of your expedition members, so you'll be leaving soon. What have you heard from Mr. Falconer?
I'm most worried about the diseases u cld catch.
Sent at 5:42 PM on Sunday
me: As of this moment, I have spoken to Mr. Falconer much, oher than than preparations are being made for the expedition. Are you referring o the diseases mentioned in previous records of expediions?
Im sorry, I meant to say I have not spoken muh with Mr falconer
Sophie: o, were there diseases from prior expeditions?
i was just worried about any diseases that are expected in a trop zone (malaria, dysentary, yellow fever, etc.)
me: Ahh, those kind of come with the territory. I am sre we will have the prper medication and knowledge to handle those if theyhappen.
All part of the adventure you see.
Sophie: so, what were the diseases that befell other expeditions?
Sent at 5:46 PM on Sunday
me: I am not quite certain, but i remember reading abou a mysterious illness befalling some members of the Murcheson expedition, and also the expediton when they brought back that horrid mummy.
Sent at 5:47 PM on Sunday
Sophie: the murcheson expedition, i was told that it was lost with all MOE presumed dead (at the time)
me: Then maybe i am mistaken, too many old documents and rumors and speculation.
Sent at 5:49 PM on Sunday
me: Are you to be going with us on the expedition?
Sent at 5:51 PM on Sunday
Sophie: Yes. I'm almost finished, a couple more questions for you about your qualifications.
me: If you are to be going to document th expediion, just out of curiosity, who was it that contracted your sevices?
No, problem. Go ahead
Sent at 5:53 PM on Sunday
Sophie: The London Times on the advice of Mr. Joseph Jaggers, Esq.
me: Thank you for satisfying an old mans curioity.
Sophie: just what qualifies you to be on this expedition? what is your experience with expeditions of this sort?
do you know any other MOE's?
last question, why do YOU think they hired a linguist on this expedition?
Sent at 5:57 PM on Sunday
me: I beleive my qualificatons, and prior work speak for themselves. I beleive i was chosen for my capable mind, and good health and experience. I only know the other senior members professionaly, not personally. And as for a linguist, you never know what youll run into, or find on an expedition
Sent at 5:59 PM on Sunday
Sophie: Thank you very much for answering my questions!
me: It was my pleasure, and look forward to having you join us!
Sophie: Thank you! Very pleased to make your acquaintance!
me: As am I. Nothing like adventure to forge new frindships
Sophie: LOL ttfn
me: farewell

If i posted this incorrectly, please feel free to let me know so i can correct anything.

Purser et al. -

Purser: Be prepared for taking tickets tomorrow.

Others: We'll probably be leaving in the afternoon. I've been so busy with last minute details, I've neglected to introduce the new members of our team:

Ms. Sophie Baxter-Wallops - Reporter
Dr. Rogi Ocnorb - Sr. Ethnographer
Dr. Jeff Simpson - Sr. Ethicist (Philosoper)
Dr. Koffi Agbé - Sr. Botanist (Biology)

Some Highlight of their accomplishments:

Dr. Agbé is foremost in his field earning a Nobel Prize for Biology.
Dr. Ocnorb has been awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his work on Pygmies.

Forgive me for not being more available to you. There were last minute hitches, so I had to go to Jaggers & Associates to work them out.

-- Kyle

That would be me, FYI. Maybe we should differentiate between us and the characters.

Anyone else having issues with TextMarks? It isn't working for me. It only works in the US.

I'm catching up since Nella keep yelping all night....only an hours sleep for me.

Re: the Pygmies...

It's not what I did to them. It's what they did to me.
I'm half the man I used to be!
If only my cell phone hadn't gone off while I was observing from the brush.

Which brings me to another issue.
Having sworn-off cell phones (You can understand why.)
I'll be monitoring textmarks, only.
Unless someone cal tell me a way to integrate it into Google SMS or summuch.

What about Nighthawk's ARGs? They do, and they're not amiturish.

OMG I think they castrated him. Ouch....although Pygmies are about half the size of a full grown human. Just think they're about Hobbit size. LOL.

META:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I've been talking to the PM, I'm asking if they can use Twitter since it's easier.
