Then Sophie says wistfully "Exactly..." before elaborating about how her mother would react if she DID tell her.
3) What content would go into such a gap? There's another whole 45 seconds of them talking about her mother? I doubt it.
4) If you listen to large.wav posted elsewhere in the thread, it's difficult to even tell where the transition WAS.


I totally agree with you LilSerf. Your reasoning is very well put forward. My only hope is that somebody will add the wavs together into 3 seperate sound files so I can finally listen to them in the same way that I have listened to Large.wav.

"Our hoodlums" refers to the fact that they are both from Coral (a planet or colony 42 light years away) and their mothers just want them to date other people from Coral. Note the perjorative use of "Aiden is just very... Earth."

Sophia's mom wouldn't mind Aiden so much if he was one of Coral's hoodlums.


EDIT: It's very questionable. It's a stretch if they actually do fit next to each other.
Listen to the audio files next to each other. They don't fit, not at all, and nor do the transcripts make much sense side-by-side either. There is at least 1 middle clip.
Also, Jan is hot, which is pointed out in the walkaway-girl sequence (that cop is quite fascinated by her, and says, "but she's hot though")

Well perhaps that event happens simultaneously with Durga going "Wide awake and physical." Maybe in doing so, she caused a brief connection failure in the system....whatever system that is, heh. And then maybe Jan and James' lives will coincide with Kumal and Sophia's along with Jersey and Durga's stories as well.

Also, I was listening to the date .wavs again, and to me it does in fact seem like there is a piece missing between the two parts. Because if you listen to what they're saying, Sophia at the end says "I'm never going back." In reference to "Coral" A town I imagine that they both turn out to be from, that they start talking about..in the middle portion of this date that seems to be missing. That's the only reason why I can think there is a piece missing. I mean, besides the fact that the two don't seem to match up exactly anyway since at the end of one shes laughing and at the beginning, she's replying to something Kumal said.


And in the beginning of Jan's story, when the MP's catch her, they mention that they wouldn't have got her if not "for the blackout". More evidence of "Wide Awake and Physical" as a common starting point for the three stories?

We should also be looking for a hook to Melissa's crew in the stories, as these are supposedly their memories...

I did listen to them next to each other, that's how I made my decision. The transcript makes perfect sense, as shown above. And you didn't really respond to any of my points. Have you listened to large.wav? It's seamless. Sophia starts her sentence, Kamal finishes it for her, prompting them both to laugh and her to tell him "Exactly." How do they not fit? I'm baffled that people continue to propagate this 'missing clip' theory.

EDIT: I was calling her 'Sophie', oops.

 		People are disaggreeing about it.
IMHO it goes together with nothing inbetween. Some people think that it doesnt make sence but it does. They are thinking the same thing and she says exaclty. What doesnt fir about that?

at the end of our hoodlums, you can briefly hear her say "yeah.." in a lower tone of voice. She wouldn't say "Exactly!" if she had already said that. Listen close. If you say "yeah.." after a joke like "our hoodlums," you take it into a new topic of conversation. You wouldnt erupt "Exactly!" This doesnt pose any conflict if there are more than 30 clips to be had.

<noobie's opinion>I've seen a lot of disagreement over our_hoodlums connecting to much_lifting but I tend to agree with no missing audio there. It sounds to me like the reason why the voice is different in much_lifting is because Sophia is sighing at the same time as saying exactly, thereby completing the thought about Aiden. When you listen to them together they seem to fit very well together.</noobie's opinion>

 		I had a similar theory regarding KHAMAL/HIROYUKI/SOPHIA/AIDEN/CELINA

1. KHAMAL is a CHATTERBOX hacker, who is roommates with HIROYUKI.
2. KHAMAL goes on this BLIND DATE with SOPHIA.
3. KHAMAL has HIROYUKI give him medical advice to charm SOPHIA.
4. SOPHIA leaves unannounced.
5. KHAMAL returns HOME dejected, HIROYUKI is waiting.
6. They talk of SOPHIA and how KHAMAL'S MOM puts him through BLIND DATES.
7. LATER, SOPHIA reunites with KHAMAL… somehow?
8. SOPHIA becomes a friend to KHAMAL.
9. THEY go on ANOTHER DATE.
10. SOPHIA converses with KHAMAL about her current boyfriend, AIDEN. She senses betrayal in the relationship.
11. KHAMAL convinces SOPHIA that he can GHOST anyone, including herself; and does so.
12. KHAMAL locates AIDEN for SOPHIA.
13. AIDEN is not at BUFFALO, but in ATLANTA on a DATE with CELINE.
14. KHAMAL ghosts SOPHIA at the restaurant; she embarrasses AIDEN.

Yes, exactly. I knew there was something more obvious tying them all together, good thing you found it. I think that's clearly evidence.

For some reason, I think he was agreeing with you, he just worded it wrong. I'm pretty sure he's saying there's something in between blip and walkaway_girl, because he talks about the dialogue int he two, right after the part you quoted. I just think he didn't clarify it at the beginning of what he is saying, even though he quoted the transcrpit of the dated (I think to show that they do infact correlate)

Also...don't get so hostile. Wink
