I was thinking phone number, but it doesn't appear to match any country codes. http://www.countrycallingcodes.com/Reverse-Lookup.php

Could the numbers translate to letters and the stars be spaces between words?

that's what i am thinking. the first word, under this premise would have to be A (2) - there is no 4 for I

second word - day? bad?

and the last could be anything...ex-something? hard one

Thanks to @tgosnell for his quick work!

Just a quick highlight.

The call is 9 * 369 * 89362622

The *'s are odd. Maybe these are seperators for words. ElysiumEludes pointed out "Maybe the * seperates words and we are looking for a 3 word phrase, but jumbled. Assuming the first word is "A" (no 4 for I).

Maybe the *'s are a multiplication sign (* = X ). If that is the case,

9 X 369 X 89362622 = 296773267662.

I have a huge sheet of paper with all sorts of jumble wrote on it Wink Hopefully it'll all work itself out!

Don't forget the file name ends in "395"

although since we have no 5s, not sure what to do with that....

369 is 9 * 41.

83962622 is not evenly divisible by 9 or 369.

Is the number not 9 x 369 x 83962622? You have 893?

Yap, you are right. Screwed that up in my haste =) Thanks for pointing it out.

New math, in case this is the right direction.

9 X 369 X 839362622 = 2787523267662

Ah its a simple mistake with all these numbers.

With the 3 being before the 9 the new total is

9 x 369 x 839362622 = 309724807518

OK folks, just catching up now, glad you left me a sliver of this puzzle to work on! Dang real life getting in the way. Very Happy

Anyways, this idea was mentioned in Elliott's blog comments (originally by MarcusFenixDown), and I didn't see anything over here about it yet, but I think it's the right track so I'm going to reproduce it.

The numbers are as such:

9*369*839362622

Treating the "*" as the multiplication operator, you get:

9X369X839362622

Which could be grouped like this:

(9X3) 6 ( 9 X 8 ) 39362622

Now here's the key: one of the letters corresponding to 9 on the phone is "w". So the (9x3) could be "www".

Also, the ending: "2622"... corresponds to "cocc" on a phone... or more likely, "co.cc"

so we've got: www. 6 ( 9 X 8 ) 3936 co.cc

I think that's too much of a coincidence to overlook...

It's blank, but there's stuff in the source code

EDIT: I didn't find this, I saw that ARGonut had posted it at Elliot's blog
