Re: Number posters around Seattle Trailhead? Left over from old ARG? Something else?

I've run into sets of blue posters with numbers printed on them around Seattle and Ballard. The Seattle ones are (I think) on Mercer between Westlake and Seattle center -- I saw 'em while biking around between SIFF screenings. Ballard ones are on Market somewhere between 14th and 22nd, I think.
Anyway, these are large posters, each with one or two digits, pasted up like so many festival or otherwise adverts. The numbers are:
... 17 18 21 11 10 6 17 18 21 11 10 6 17 18 21 ... [repeating]
With spaces indicating breaks between posters.
Anyway, has anyone else seen these? Any thoughts as to meaning?

I don't think so. I'm a Seattle native and that commercial doesn't look like it was filmed anywhere near where these posters are showing up.

Just a quick update... I work near the intersection of Fairview Ave N & Valley St. And I was riding the South Lake Union Streetcar home around 5:30p last night and I noticed a guy pasting up new numbers over existing numbers on a building at that intersection. This is the building in question.
They appear to be the same numbers and sequence, but the blue background is darker... Don't know if that's because the old one's were faded though.
So whatever is it, it's still active because they're repasting the numbers. Makes me wish I had gotten off the streetcar to ask the guy some questions...

Do you happen to recall if it was the downtown (17, 18) sequence or the Ballard (18, 17) sequence?
EDIT: Wait, is this the building I put up a picture of already? I should bike over there and find out.

Looks my sighting was different than neurodyne's -- I was looking at
this building , which is a few blocks away (and also has been re-poster'd to a deeper blue).
Anyway, I've now got pictures of all the locations I know of. The Ballard pictures are from last week (I finally realized I have a card reader built into this laptop... and it even sort of works under linux), the seattle-a pictures are the Mercer & 8th location, the seattle-b pictures are Fairview & Valley (as are the close pictures).

The following are num to alpha/ rot / anagram "solves" (not spoilerable as they don't really clear up anything)
Do any of you people in this town find any of these meaningful in any way?
UPBEAT
FLAP ME
ELF MAP
ID SHOP
TUBE PA
UNIT MX
UNMIXT
FLAME P
PALE FM
I expect the answer is "Are you crazy!? How long did you spend looking up stuff to make sure none of it is of any use?"
So please don't flame me (at least not too much! )

We're pretty upbeat, but other than that, my native Seattleite mind doesn't see anything important in those anagrams.
I'll post on LJ's seattle community and see if anyone knows anything.

LMFAO! Since were on USELESS spec. I went the opposite way with it and pulled out the letters BETWEEN the sequence(kinda?!) and came up with "SIGHT".
FLAME ON!

Hooray, I've solved the mystery. After seeing some of the same numbers on University Way (the Ave), I found that these numbers all correspond to players on our lovely Seattle Sounders MLS team. Kind of a cool advertising trick. At least it got the attention of a few unfictioners here, I don't know what everyone else thought.

Yeah, the one downtown now has player pictures up over the numbers too. Says something about obscurity that when checking that hunch earlier I failed to find that there was a soccer team in Seattle.

Yeah, as you probably know, this is the first or second year we've had the team. I'm not even sure which year since I don't follow soccer, and the only reason it occured to me was the shape of the numbers and the color. I had probably seen someone wearing a jersey elsewhere and subconsciously remembered. I wish a large scale ARG took place in Seattle again, 'Twould be much fun.
