[TRAILHEAD] GETTHEJETT.COM What's better than Hands-Free? Thought-Free. This has appeared in at least two different comic book publications during May.
It has appeared in Darkness #77, by Top Cow comics, and Invincible #62, by Image comics.
While search various keywords, I found a post on Flicker , wondering if it's an ARG, and another forum post elsewhere .
Can you guys work you magic to see if this really is an ARG?
Edit: Confirmed for ARG. http://getthejett.com/ . Go to "Get The Jett" link, follow the instructions. Try poking around the site for information. It looks like this ARG is aimed to end sometime at the end of July, or at least the product/comic book series it's advertising is going to be released at the end of July.

Interesting. Check out the // menu page.
Someone slipped in an email trail.
Seems like a Dr. Sandusky was causing issues to the project and had to be removed. I'd email Selena about it, but I wouldn't know a good way to phrase a question about Sandusky without it just being rejected.
Edit: And yeah, Merc, definitely looks like an ARG or something viral.

Didn't think to do that. Cool
Edit: I tried mailing fsanduskySPLATrd.art.com to see if maybe he still had access to his mail for some reason. Waiting on a response.
Also, I didn't mean it was a virus. Just maybe something they're doing to advertise something or another. But whichever it may be, seems neat.

So...either an ARG with a virus? Or a viral that adopted an ARG? Either way it looks/reads pretty interesting.

Ok, from the looks of the background and the "accidentally released" series of emails from the Copyright page, some one was making a hands-free blue-tooth type thing. They then found a "algorithmic anomaly" which allows them to take digital information from anywhere, getting through stuff like encryption immediately. Executive types rush to name this "Pull Technology", but there's also an option to put information and effect how the wear of the blue-tooth device perceives things which they call "Push technology". This is probably something like Johnny Mnemonic or something, only that it's done without the wearer knowing so. They don't know they're storing the information, they don't know the item is messing with their mind, unlike Johnny who's paid to store stuff in his mind.
So, basically, evil company is making a mind-control device in a blue-tooth headset. The page is owned by Top Cow comics, a Partner Studio of Image comics, so this is probably viral advertising for a mini-series they're going to release later in the year.
Kind of disappointing, as Top Cow is largely known for making mediocre comics, their main selling point is the art of women with big breasts wearing little, like The Magdalena and Witchblade.

I don't think the emails will work becuase art.com appears to go to a art dealer's website. Particularly it forwards to art.co.uk. Check the WHOIS:
http://www.who.is/whois/art.com/
I've registered but won't be emailing the individuals.
EDIT: Also confused because Advanced Research Technologies is an actual company.
http://www.art.ca/en/index.php
Their logo is compeltely different so assume they are not "in game".

I saw an ad for getthejett in the back of Chew #2 from Image Comics. I smelled ARG so I checked the forums, and lo and behold you dudes have started a thread already.
Has anyone signed up for email updates at the address listed on the get the jett page? (it's jettSPLAT getthejett.com)?
Love the banner ads on the page with slogans like "It Knows Everything About You" and "Hand-Free? How About Thought-Free?"
I hope it goes somewhere - who knows, maybe there'll be something at ComicCon.

I'm with you, Rob.
We'll probably have to wait until CC to see anymore advances on this one.
