Jejune Auditing

I'd be down for the Auditing thing (C. of $. e-meter personality test thing)

I think it could make a nice street theatre piece.
If we play it very very seriously, wiht jusyt a touch of blatant silliness in place, (i.e. a card board cutout pic of ocatvio coleman wearing a tin foil pyramid on his head) something just slightly over the top,
and couple it with some good solid Jejune institue speil.

We woudl need the following,

A tvcr or the like which could play a constant loop of his welcome speech.
Some blank or "encrypted" hard bound books with a dummied up Jejune Institue cover. Maybe something written by Dr. Jane Hewitt. And some brochures and or Coupons for Memory recording.

We set up at Powell station on a busy afternoon, with a time camera, and a couple of other devices, and try to get people to go get inducted.

I also have a few specific interactive scenarios we could run through, say once an hour, 3 over 4 hours or so, in which we do something very over the top.

Microwave harassment of a Drybones like anti-jejune protester, everytime he got too close,

We could Audit fake Whole Bohemians, and pay them to let us pull their teeth, which we would then treat much like plutonium.

And there is a little stage magic I know that could let us levitate someone with Synthetic Telekenesis.
I also know a good humorus Psychic routine, with which we could test peoples latent nonchalance.

If we do this one though, (fake auditing) we should make a a big hoohaw out of it, and do it up right.

Failing that, we just need a yeti suit and allot of safari costumes, and a day to go play tag in delores park.

i was going through my ipod and i remembered a bay area band called NegativLand that had an album with a sort of audio map in it that lead to a very strange place in which you were to do very strange things. the place actually exists too and i took a trek over there a few years ago.

here are two tracks from the album

the intro:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5EAX42DA

the map:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KO31SDDZ

BONUS: here's a track from their album 'Escape From Noise'. nothing to do with anything but i think it's hilarious:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IXE8YHVJ

BONUSUS: Here's a copy of a mix CD i got from a friend a long while ago. he said that he got it from his friend but doesn't remember where that person got it. it's basically a compilation of 11 songs having in some way to do with the number 11 (one of the songs is actually another compilation of song snippets having to do with the number 11) so wen ended up calling the CD 'Surprise 11'. Time Zones is one of the songs in that album. i've only been able to name a few of them through the power of the internet so a few of the song titles are blank.

I have an e-meter we could tape jejune insignia onto. :3
The needle falls dead when the cans are plugged in...so it's perfect.
We can have them hold the cans to audit their 'nonchalance' and make it obvious that the cans aren't plugged in. Then when we plug them in and the needle falls, tell them their nonchalance is deathly down and they must go to the main office NOW.

Octavio Coleman on Twitter

Thought you all might get a kick out of this, although I doubt it has any bearing on the game. Arye Michael Bender, the supposed face of Octavio Coleman Esq., just twittered "Beware of real prophets masquerading as false ones."

We'd like to extend special gratitude toward all who participated in our somewhat recent
street action. ("TIME IS IRRELEVANT!" - Kendal Laz) This EPWA operation was a great success!
Your efforts on behalf of Nonchalance have borne fruit. Octavio Coleman Esq and his minions
have been dealt a major blow. Thanks for your help & action. This is a turning point in
the history of Nonchalance. Again we must now submerge ourselves beneath the surface and
continue these efforts underground.

Ah! It is so great to see that video. April 30th was truly quite awesome Very Happy

As all of you can tell, we are in a major lull period right now. I thin the best we can do is create an "unofficial" event to get some new initiates interested in the nonchalance narrative.

Looking at the nonchalance/Scientology "crossover" may be an interesting idea. In fact, I endorse it wholeheartedly!

If you need any help (although I'm a few hundred miles away) I'd be glad to!

Sunday.

Those damned goons!

A note about visiting 580 on a Sunday.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

We went on a Sunday induction and the 4th floor of China Center was locked up tighter than a drum that's really tight. What I'm saying here is that if you're taking someone new to 580, you might want to skip Sundays.

You sir have found the right person. I know more about Scientology then Scientologists.

Let's get together and plan something. When will you next be in town. OR ARE YOU OUT OF THE GAME FOREVAR!?!? D:

I got a lot ...I mean a lot of Scientology dribble here that I can use masking tape or something really obvious to block out the Sci shit and put JeJune over for a NONCHALANCE test. I have an e-meter. Oh and free time out of my ass.

Anyone who wants in on this I can design Scientology looking fliers and help pass them out for our Nonchalance Test Booth.

Just need someone with a table and of course a bright red table cover :3.

Got this e-mail today.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Denizens of Elsewhere may have noticed the patent registration form recently made available at the Civic Realm Complex, as well as on our website. This form is for the official registration & patenting of DREAMS, VISIONS, and PROPHECIES. The process is an important step on the path toward Divine Nonchalance, as it allows for the archival documentation of our collective imaginations and mind-sight.
:: : :: : :: : :: : :: : :: : :: : :: : ::
: :: :: : :: : :: : :: : :: : :: : :: : ::
We have received a number of inquiries as to when & where a fellow Nonchalant may have their form properly notarized. It's a difficult procedure, to be sure, mainly because the EPWA Signatory and Commissioner of Oaths, Murray D. Waltheanstough, is constantly traveling, fluctuating, and toggling between appointments, bureaus, salt mines, and the like.
:: : :: : :: : :: : :: : :: : :: : :: : ::
: :: :: : :: : :: : :: : :: : :: : :: : ::
However, we have just received word that he will definitely be in the San Francisco Bay Area to perform his services during the early evening of June 26th. The process of notarization takes roughly 3600 seconds. Because of the limited number of patents available at any given point in time, we can only accept a select number of appointments (more than 12 less than 43). Approval of applicants will be based on the inherent vitality of the DREAM, VISION, or PROPHECY. If you wish to have your DREAM, VISION, or PROPHECY registered at this time and date, please: download the form (command: "&_patent" at www.elsewherepublicworks.com) then send a brief preview or encapsulation of the DREAM, VISION, or PROPHECY concept to patentSPLATelsewherepublicworks.com. It will then be reviewed by a local EPWA clerk for assessment and approval. A certain number of applicants will be accepted (more than 13 less than 42), and those approved will be given specific details of the appointment time & location. This and then will be the only manner of notarization probable for the foreseeable number of fortnights.

So, in the Patent Registration sheet, there is a small box that is "for official use only" There is a small line of numbers and letters at the bottom of this box. Here is what it reads:

ION.8867.OJJKKIK.90.88.HGG.K

Maybe it's some sort of cypher? I think we need to get some code-crackers on this stat.

Zo. The string has some problems with it. The first is that there are numbers. They look very lower-case ASCIIee, so
let's convert them. ION.vc.OJJKKIK.x.v.HGG.K / Convert everything else to lower-case, alphabetize, get rid of periods: cgghiijjkkkknoovvx and let's make another string without the numbery bits: gghiijjkkkknoo. Push those through a rot(n) algorithm that was one thing I used on Blair's letter back in the day, and then push that through the internet anagram server, and there isn't much. Of course my favorite is "cipher ace a dweeb dip." [tips hat] Nothing jumped out at me word-wise, and going through all 100000+ combinations is ... blah. I don't know how cryptographers keep from going completely fruitbat, actually ... after awhile it looks like everything is a seekrit message. And this is just one methodology ...
