finalis also means something in music:
http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/207145/finalis

EDIT: maybe when we find the answer, we should try .mp3 or .wav

hmmmm.... looks promising.

Can somebody try to connect the notes A-G or even the classic variation "Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si Do" to "O N X" and/or "N M Y"?

Honestly guys, I've spend another 2 hours trying to make something off all those letters but I'm really clueless. I've spend way too much time looking at them, I'm giving up. Let's just hope Eliott has something interesting after he returns from his trip. Confused

Hi guys! just came back after two days, canīt believe weīre still stuck here...
sorry I havenīt much of use to add but noticed that II and III are gone from http://twentyseven.co.cc/
maybe thereīs still a clue in aleph we didnīt see before. I saved the image and changed the file extension to check if there was a spreadsheet or something hidden, but canīt see anything. Iīm new with this stuff maybe someone can take a look?

Regarding the numbers riddle I think the " - " may be missing letters,
(which one I should add, no idea)
I tried to rotate the alphabet for the OITTI and FANILX but didnīt make better sense.
hopefully weīll hear from r33p33...

They're still there when I go to the site... Still grayed out, but I see I, II and III.

Hey all. Just dropping by real quick to let you know I haven't received a response from my email to r33pich33p...hopefully Elliott will post tomorrow. Good luck all, might be able to come back later.

Maybe I'm slow, but I just noticed the names of the subpages:

Neurology leads to NRI.html
Electromagnetism is ESG.html
Gene therapy is GRI.html

The rest have regular names like news, contact etc. Obviously they're abbreviations of the projects they lead to (Neurological Research Initiative, Electromagnetic Study Group, Genetic Research Initiative), but they could have another meaning as well. Have we tried doing anything with these letters?

NRI-ESG-GRI

EDIT: It anagrams to Erg Rising. Erg is an energy unit (equal to 1 Ũ 10−7 joules or 100 nanojoules). I'm also seeing variations of NRGS/energies in there, but can't quite make it fit. Probably just a Red Herring , but OTOH...rising energy might sound relevant, no?

Hmmmmm....... Nathan's initials are NRG. And I don't know whether we know Elliott's middle initial, but he's at least EG. Maybe . . .

Oooh well spotted! We should ask Elliott about his middle name when he gets back. So who could GRI be? Can't find anyone with those initials on Chenchey, 8th Spoke or in the conference flyer, but maybe i'm missing something obvious...

I think you guys are definitly on to something here. I just went back to Elliot's blog and noticed NRG under the "Weirdos and Other Strangers" post. And E()G works, too. I wonder who the other person could be, though...maybe someone we haven't "met" yet

You have to break through the groupings to get NRG, so it's not clear which letters would be left over.

I'm risking sounding stupid here, but so far I haven't run across it in this game. So here we go...think there's any meaning behind the Chenchey's homepage saying...

www.thechencheyinstituteofresearch.com/#

I know the sites have usually said /index. Could be meaningless (and probably is) but what the hell. Smile

EDIT: Oh, and I've tried different variations of the numbers given by r33pich33p (although not in /images/) and I've tried 108. But no luck.

Okay I know that I don't have a lot of patience, but Eliott has already been back for more than 8 hours. Do you think he's sleeping or something?
