Okay, so. That's awesome. A King in Denver with no cover and no where to go. If we can't get him somewhere to hide for a while, we gotta figure out where the hell Bernie was taking him, fast. Lest we have him room with Rage until then.

Which... no.

Attached was the end of my email exchange with the Sarge before he went all OH HELL NO on me, right after I had convinced him to at least meet with Port. I have no bloody clue what I said to him that pissed him off, so if it's any use to you guys, take it. I'm gonna try our case once more myself, but I don't know what good that will do! Stubborn dude.

Heh, tbh, I don't even know what question we're trying to answer. Figuring that out might help, actually.

Also, in which Port has a ridiculous taste in cars:
Quote:
Courtney,

It's amazing how a good night's sleep can make a totally shitty situation seem just as shitty.

Good thinking but I actually ditched the car yesterday and this morning I bought an old powder-blue Volkswagen bus. The owner was this hippy retread who painted the logo from Lost's Dharma Initiative on the front. All I need now is a frickin' grey jumpsuit and I'm set!

So I'm short on time as there are a bunch of kids from the high school milling around me trying to get onto one of the library computers to update their stupid MySpace pages or whatever. I hate typing with people peeking over my shoulder.

Again, thanks for being there and I'll keep checking back to see how your Plan C is coming along. I have enough cash to stay in limbo for about two weeks.

Port

I asked him, flat out for the second time, if Bernie had mentioned exactly where he was going. And he didn't say anything about it. So I'll assume 'no'.

C,
I was just sitting here playing a stupid shopping cart game on the computer (had to see if I was the INSTANT WINNER they talk about on the Totino's frozen pizza box) and your e-mail popped up. What in the hell are you talking about with me asking you not to contact me? Although you and your goddam cohorts are starting to bug the crap outta me with your personal drama, I much prefer your guys e-mails to the Cialis and African bank ones!!! OK. Against my better judgement I'm willing to meet your little jackrabbit. So long as he don't mind cigarette smoke, Spam and Roger my yorkie, we MAY have a deal. And if he's not an asshole. Have him to stand near the Grilled Skewer on Wadsworth in Arvada with a six-pack of Keystone Light in a paper bag in one hour and I'll do the rest.

---Ernie

OKAY, WAT? Who the hell sent me that email, then?! Damn. Someone's watching his email (someone who also knows my first name and that I am female, too, as I have not used either in reference to myself with Ernie).

But, well. Forwarding this to Port, so hey. Hope this works.

Man, this is just going all pear shaped! I am about ready to toss in the towel. I don't know what to do, Ports hiding in Denver, Sgt Ernie is a useless d!ck, Rage is tweeting some Crazy Shiznit.

noooo we need you schwinn );
I'm still waiting for the connection to be drawn between Black Beauty and the Oracle or something. HOPEFULLY, as long as the Sarge doesn't get duped first by a spook undercover or Port doesn't get assassinated while standing out on the sidewalk or something, we'll figure that part out now.

Jeez. In the meantime, I'll watch my email for Port's reply. And then try to figure out wtf Rage is smoking while tweeting (so I may join him, perhaps?!).

Yesterday I tweeted....

(about 22 hours ago from web)

Which is, (if you didn't know ) Base64 for...

But what is the question?

Just testing to see if the PMs are paying attention. (Which they are)

Arlen Direct messaged me...
Quote:
It's a place, my friend. A place from your past. The end can only be understood by looking back to the beginning.

This could mean a couple different things
1) The beginning of the game: in San Francisco at the Curran theater.

2) Ports blog (but that's not a place) maybe the hotel where Jenny was killed.

3) Brickers place in OK (which technically is the beginning of the story)

I can keep going but you get the idea. Thoughts?

So I only have direct tweets being sent to my phone right now. I was woken up by the sound of my phone buzzing this morning and blearily saw this:

Quote:
klokworkalex: Don't tell me that after all this they got you!

To which I kinda went, 'huh wha' and just collapsed back in bed. It took about an hour in sleepland to process that, because an hour later, I shot back up in bed fast enough to scare my cat and shouted, 'WHAT!'

Got outta the house, found some internets, and saw that Port sent me this last night:

Quote:
klokworkalex: I'm safe. Your "Ernie" is a frickin' GENIUS! So much to tell you but can't use e-mail right now...it's YOUR account they're watching.

YAY. And not yay. I should've figured.

Schwinn: Haha, nice! That is better than what we had before. Well, I'm gonna put my two cents down on either the Curran or 1407 Oakhurst Ave, though I have no reasoning behind my own answers yet other than that they are the beginning to both the game and the story, respectively.

Seems Rage is taking after your example, Schwinn. :B Reads: 'As Paul Harvey would say, "And now...Page Seven."'

My drive-by two cents - if he's referring to page seven of this particular thread, then it's either the Santa Rosa Cemetery or 1407 Oakhurst, as those are the only two places mentioned. I'm still mulling over any other possibilities, but this nagging little feeling I get is leaning toward 1407 Oakhurst.

Good, good point. The cemetry was the first place the Odd Fellows association even showed up... and windup first mentioned the REM song where the 'washing off the blood, washing off the rum' lyrics come from...

But I'm still leaning toward 1407 Oakhurst myself, just because of the 'beginning' thing, so. Hm. Maybe worth a shot sending that to TT's address? Hey, I still have 'portal.jpg' on my hard drive, too!

You're on the right track, but no.

Strike Two.

Well, fiddlesticks. Sad
