I think Gary´s found must be important. I´m checking on Edmund now...
obviously we missed something in the 27 website, Elliot put it first of the list, probably we are close to something and the PM doesn´t want to spoil all the fun? ...just hoping

Do you know what's bugging me the most?

It's that R in the code. It seems so out of place. I've tried looking at what 'R' could stand for in a mathematical or scientific equation but had no luck.

I HAVE found that in Roman times the symbol : means 1/6 (one sixth) which was used as part of their currency.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_numerals (under the fractions section)

But once again I have no idea what to do with that information or if it's relevent!!

The list is in alphabetical order..that's why it's first.

Just been playing around with binary

After Seriousm discovered the possible 1 (10) 100 1000 in the letters I thought I might be on to something if I combined it with the binary for R and the extra 1.

But just got a whole heap of 1s and 0s that make no sense!!

Oh well - that's my effort for the night! Need to do something else before my brain explodes.

At some point, I googled part of the code and it brought me to pages where R. 1 was used to signify "remainder of 1". For instance, 40 divided by 3 is 13 R. 1 (13 with a remainder of 1). But I couldn't figure out where to go from there.

Diggingforanswers also found something along those lines:

diggingforanswers wrote:
I don't know if this means anything...but when I first saw the clue, I thought the '?' could mean to multiply. So 9*3 is 27. 27 divided by the 2 (II) is 13 with a remainder of 1 (13 R.1). but i didn't see how that could mean anything important.

Maybe we should look at this some more?

Posted this on the blog, thought I'd post here too. When looking into biblical references to r.1:ii, no one mentioned Ruth 1:2, which is as follows...

"And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the names of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there."

Info on Moab:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moab

I'm currently looking into other information given in this passage, will let ya'll know if I find anything of significance.

Straw grasping . . .

9 ? 3 13 R. 1: II

Numbers to letters:

I ? C M R. A: II

I see Mr. A?

Chenchey's president is Emir Ademovic. Mr. A?

The letter we weren't supposed to see yet referred to 'Boss'.

I tried a bunch of related URLs at twentyseven.co.cc and thenittifamily with no success. (Emphasis on 'sucks'.)

Time to trot out the flounder.

Flounder

Is it just me, or is it really abnormal for Elliott/PM to misspell words?? Elliott misspelled at least 2 words that I can see on his most recent blog...hint that the misspelled words on the Chenchey site mean something??

I'm with you gary, Flounder I'm grasping whatever straw is in my reach. Smile

Yeah, I thought it was weird that for "luck" he put "like" instead.

c and k aren't even near each other on the keyboard, and neither are k and e...

He also spelled Research wrong in his Chenchey link...

Doubt it. There are no mispellings in his previous blogs, or on the 8th spoke site. I'm pretty sure it's intentional.

Highly doubt it, based on empirical evidence. Previous mistakes that have been made were caught and fixed - surely something as obvious as a spelling error would be caught early on, particularly with the prevalency of spell-check.

Plus, any PM worth their salt is going to be following the progress of their players - including watching this forum. With as much talk as we've done regarding "The Oitti Fanilx", surely the PM would have noticed. If it was a typo it would be a massive red herring, and no PM wants his players floundering on something that is meaningless.
