I'm not a geography pro, and have no idea where the cities actually are situated but according to the states they're in, I tried the following...

Looks familiar? An 8-spoked wheel. Suspicious, huh?
So perhaps someone could locate the cities in the map a bit more accurate? I think there's a significance in the "Center of the wheel", which appears to be somewhere in Illinois.

From what I can see, it's in the Jackson County area. But don't take that as a sure thing, it's hard to get an exact location from spotting map areas. Seems to intersect in that area.
