I'm just going to be an optimist here and say that I am hoping for something in the mail. How, with all the mail i'm sure there getting, would they be able to tell who the top four is?

I would think so. I sent mine a week before any of us even brought it up. Anyways, we only have one piece of the puzzle. We'll have to wait and see what any of you get to conclude as to what they are sending.

Well does this mean people will be mailed different things? If so i'm hoping for the splicer mask

I'm guessing the first four people to mail letters in will get the contents.
I would hope not. I want something and i'm almost certain that i wasn't in the top four

Oh I really hope not, I think most of us weren't in the top four, but given the sheer amount of information revolving around that site, there's lots to send to people. So I'm holding out hope.
AMEN!

Oh, two new papers on the lamp table on the far left.
Seems more people are starting to notice people missing...
Hmmm
Other than that, I don't see much of a difference that hasn't already been said.

After about 20 minutes of listening to it, I hear this soft voice then it gets louder and louder, speaking jibberish.
I think its backwards, but I have no way to rewind it to hear it.
There's radio, paper sounds, and other random sounds. I do hear the occasional police radio, but I can't made heads or tails from it.
I spent an hour listening to it yesterday, and thats all I got.

okay. i think someone posted a recording of the entire thing. if you have a program that can run it backwards that'd be great

All this news...
First, Vossk, I'm curious as to what, exactly, you sent to Meltzer. What did you say?

And secondly, these articles are odd in one aspect: no comments from Meltzer. They're both blank. Every other time, when he's received things from others, he's commented a little. This time, there's no accompanying comments. On either of them. Admittedly, he didn't write on the Quain story, but he did on the letter it came with.

in the letter that accompanied the first story, he writes that he hadn't read it yet.

perhaps in his still-unbelieving state, he hasn't read the stories, for fear of more of the crackpot theories that he has heard thus far.

Frankly, I think he is starting to believe in this underwater utopia. The statement his daughter made about the flying sharks and the new stories are getting to him.

The Radio part II

I did a little research on the radio that is playing in the study and I noticed one particularly interesting sound occurs approximately after 6 minutes once I opened up the somethinginthesea.com site. I may be wrong but it seems to be a voice speaking backwards very loudly and it lasts between the 6th minute until around the 7th minute of opening the site.

I've done this 3 seperate times and it always comes up at the same time. The problem is that I can't figure out how to record this sound but I do have software to play it backwards.

There are recordings at the start of the board but they don't include this sound.

Could someone record this sound and put it as an mp3 on this board? Please

I have a clip of the audio that is supposedly backwards (although it's not that great of quality). I have played it backwards and I can't make anything out of it so I don't think it's backwards. If you would like, I can upload it but I don't know how to upload audio files on here. If someone can tell me how to do so, I will be more than happy to upload it.

EDIT: Nvm, I figured it out. I apologize for the audio being so low.
