hey i was just reading that other forum and i stumbled across this "Does anyone notice the things that are played over the cb radio while you look around the room. Its static for a lot of the time, and then it sounds like the song "rise rapture rise" for about 3 seconds THEN it sounds like either a splicer crying out for help like in bio 1 or a little girl saying "help" then (the volume goes up) and its some sqwalky loud guy who sounds like he's talking about something like coordinates or military crap.. But!

The first thing that always plays on the CB radio when you enter the room (refresh the website)....
It sounds like a man talking but the man.... He sounds like Andrew Ryan. I swear it sounds like one of the audio logs from Bioshock 1 but i can't remember which one. It sounds like he is lecturing the listener.

Like one of those moments where he would pop up as you were walking and he would just say something to you about how the "parasites want things for free but a man blah blah blah..." You know?

try listening to it closely next time. It sound familiar.... I'm not saying this means that Andrew Ryan is still alive, at most im saying that there must be a broken audio log in rapture or a record thats skipping that the cb keeps picking up.

try listening to it. refresh the website over and over to listen to it again and again."
what piked my intrest was the bit about andrew ryan. Rapture was a place where the scientist would not fear the world. The Vita-Chambers in the game were only made to work with someone with Ryan's DNA. This most likely means they have a sample of his DNA. The Plasmids were the result of DNA altering. With all the work on DNA, is cloning out of the question?

If Jack is even dead. Good ending made it seem like he was an old man when he died. This is only what 20 years later? 10?

Hello!

I am new to this group. I found somethinginthesea.com about 2 months ago, thought it was fascinating, and promptly forgot about it. I picked it back up about a week ago and I'm hooked now. I'm really excited! I've never played an ARG before.

I don't have too much to contribute that hasn't already been said. I'm replaying Bioshock to give myself a refresher. I did notice while listening to the audio on the main website that the garbled male voice sounds (to me) a lot like Atlas. Although his speech patterns may sound like an Irish accent simply because it's being played backwards, I think it sounds like Atlas, but distorted.

Also- I'm wondering how Meltzer got the names of Suchong, Langford, etc. Maybe I missed something, but it seems like he was still a way off from answers, and now he suddenly has names that we know. (Except I don't recognize Tuggles or Lutwidge.) BTW- anyone else find it odd that he lists Steinman as "kidnapped ?". I figured someone as notorious as Steinman would have run to Rapture, but kidnapped? Seems wrong somehow.

Looks like things might get interesting. I wonder what happened to ONI?

ONI is probably starting to take the girls disappearing seriously, especially since it seems, by what Stango had said, that more girls have been disappearing. It also seems, however, that the ONI thinks that its someONE on land, not someTHING from the sea, which is why Inman told Meltzer to watch his back, in case they suspect him.

Also, my girlfriend just got the Drawing with the Big sister, so it seems that there are duplicates of the items being sent out. I unfortunately gave them an address that I recently (yesterday) moved away from, but I gave them my new one. I think they sent it to my old one though, thinking it would get there on time (I told him when I would be moving).

Interesting fact, not sure if it's related: According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Naval_Intelligence, in June 1968, the head of ONI, Rear Admiral Eugene B. Fluckey, was replaced by Captain Frank M. Murphy. The next month, Capt. Murphy was replaced by Rear Admiral Frederick J. Harlfinger II. I don't know if this in-game business is a connection to real life, but if not, it's certainly an interesting coincidence.
