Thank you so much for putting all of this together, even the small part we got to play through was awesome Smile I really would have enjoyed solving all your clues, you are a really great storyteller!

And I agree with Erin, I really enjoyed meeting all of you people, I hope we see each other on another ARG sometime soon!

Question for you Mr. PM. Mr. Green

Were the typos riddled throughout the Chenchey site significant (other than r33pi's Under Construction message) or no? Would they have led somewhere else...and what's with the twentyseven site. Was there something there we were missing, or had you not yet posted this month's clue?

Ha, I'm glad you asked, because everyone was thinking it.

If nothing else, the one thing that came out of this experience was the introduction of a lot of new people to the genre of Alternate Reality Gaming. I first started back during The Beast and really got hooked. I've played several great ones since then, and I'm glad to see that the genre is still going strong.

For those of you who enjoyed this experience but would like more, I really encourage you to check out some of the others that are going on now, or will be in the future. There's always new games starting, either fan-made or professionally-done (often centered around TV, movies, etc.) The fact that they usually start underground and unannounced is just part of the fun of it!

The challenge is finding the "good" ones, but it's often a crapshoot, and that's part of the fun too. Keep an eye on the different trailheads/rumors listed on UnFiction to jump on a new (or even recently-started) game.

Anyways, good meeting you all, and I look forward to working with you on future games.

Are you playing any others right now?

This was my first ARG and it was really fun while it lasted. I really hope that Mr. PM does another one. Very Happy I just found another ARG that started about two days ago. If anyone wants to check it out it's called Rabbit Black. Very Happy

Was just thinking that! I'd love to see some of the material we'll be missing, even if it's only partially finished.

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Oh my. What a thing to happen while I'm away. I'm gutted, I really am.

I don't know what to say Sad

Will be back - need to get my thoughts in order.

Have posted my thoughts on the blog - guess it's my epilogue to a great project!

http://lostarg.wordpress.com/2009/06/14/final-thoughts/

Really hope to keep in touch with you all. I think I've definitely caught the ARG bug so will be on the look out for a new outlet! Any PMs out there want a fan-blog writing?! Razz

Take care all and 'see' you soon

Hi SimeonPM!
first of all thank you for this first quality ARG I enjoyed so much!
I really appreciate your time and effort to make this true, even if we only got a part of it.
It was my first ARG, I never thought I´d join a virtual community or follow a fictional story like a TV soup opera or something. The reason I did is because I love riddles, of course, but also because I found your writing so beautiful and appealing I could not resist following you.
I´m mother of two little kids and I also work, so it is kind of a relief knowing the outcome of the game did not rely on my cleverness on 27th july (I already have an appointment) LOL
I ask you something I hope you don´t deceive us, please DO KEEP WRITING, and if you come up with another ARG . Be sure to let us know it´s you, you were worth our sleep deprived nights!
see you soon ... hopefully

Thanks for letting us know. For a while that was one of the best ARGs I've played and some of the puzzles were really devious and original.

As has already been said, take a hiatus but make sure you don't quit altogether. Smile

The demise of the BEST! ARG EVA!

I agree with you wholeheartedly Josie! Its been an absolue blast, Never have I lost so much sleep willingly, stayin awake all hours to keep up with puzzle release times, then stayin awake longer to try n help solve them. The feeling of community that this game helped deliver has also been an eye opener for me! I've really felt part of something special and would hate to think that I'll never speak to any of you guys again! You've all been boss! As for the PM (elliot, nathan, reepi, whatever your real name is!?) I'l say it again this experience has put the real Lost Experience to shame and if the creators of Lost and other ARG's havent sat up and taken notice of your work they need their heads checking! Who's up for petitioning Fox to offer the guy a job?! Haha! Seriously tho, dont give up on what is so obviously a great talent! Keep in touch with us so that if you decide to have another go at something similar we can be the first to get on board! Lastly I'm gonna have to say what legends Porridgebrain,Env420 and ElysiumEludes have been (esp Josie!) If it wasnt for you guys working so hard on the blog I'd have lost track a long way back!

You the man Elliot!

Much love guys! n keep in touch!

Just thought of a question: The countdown timers that appeared at twentyseven.co.cc/qoph.htm. Only I and one other person got them, then they disappeared. Were we not supposed to find them there? Or were they programmed to do that?

Thanks PM for putting in the work. It was great fun while it lasted. Maybe you should think about doing another one next year after season 6. Knowing the lost writers im sure they will leave plenty of loose ends in the show that an ARG could tie up.

Thanks for the kind words and understanding, everyone.

garymaher: I do have some papers and things made up, but I'll have to scan them. And there are a few other things that might be kind of amusing to post. I'll try to get some of those up a little later!

env420: Sadly, a handful of typos weren't intended, haha. The ones that eventually lead to puzzle solutions were, but anything other than that was most likely the result of my staying up ridiculously late and not spell-checking properly. I felt like a total doofus when I realized that and apologize if it drove anyone as crazy as it did me. When a lot of those began popping up I began to realize that I didn't have time to put my all into this, and I'm sorry for that.

As for twentyseven.co.cc, the "I" part would have been updated with a code sequence for each Hebrew letter, which would have been further broken down through the "II" portion, and eventually solved by what would have been revealed in the "III" part, in order to come up with the codes to be delivered to Elliott at the end of the game. The first part was originally supposed to be posted on May 27th, but that's where I really started to fall behind. I left it at the discovery of the website and held off on actually posting the code sequence since the site really wouldn't have come into play until the very end of the, so I was just going to update it sometime before June 27th. Sadly, that was the first of many instances of my falling behind schedule that eventually lead to the pile up of delayed updates and as a result the collapse of the game.

garymaher: As for the countdown timer, that was just me screwing around with with an old Javascript timer code I had on my computer, which I hoped could eventually be used to give you an idea of when the "I" portion would be updated. Sadly the stupid thing didn't want to work properly and kept showing the wrong time, so I scrapped that idea. As for why it was in the Qoph section, well, it was just a quick blank page on the website to drop it into temporarily, and I didn't expect anyone to find it so quickly! I'm sorry that you folks thought it was significant though. I felt bad about that!

As for the people wondering if I'll do something like this again, well, we'll see. If I do, like I said, I'll definitely put it all together before making any of it public. It would be such a relief to just have to upload some files and not design puzzles or websites while people are playing along! For example, the Nitti family website was originally going to be the Nitti Nite Nightclub, a website for a family-run club with an e-mail section you'd be able to "hack," revealing correspondence between the family and Nosovi on putting out a hit on Niel Heisenberg. Sadly, I just didn't have the time to do something like that, so it became a lame "under construction" family website. It would have been nice to have done all the things I wanted, and the only way to really do that would be to have every little thing made beforehand. So while I can't promise I'll be doing anything like this incredibly soon, I can at least say that when I do, it will be done before anyone knows anything about it, and essentially implosion-proof.

However, I don't think the next thing I do will be LOST-related, so hopefully you folks can tolerate something more original. But if anyone would like to play along with whatever I do next, e-mail me at the the8thspokeSPLATgmail.com, and I'll keep your e-mails on file. I already have some ideas for what to do next, and when it's ready to go, you'll probably find the rabbit hole in your inbox!

And lastly, to Spireofdublin: It's possible, and that would be a lot of fun. I think I'll do something original next, but I would definitely love to do a post-series ARG related to some of the show's mythology and loose ends. We'll see!
