Which bitmap file are you both using? Both AUZ and I got the script jpeg I posted to open with camo. I'd been trying with the three images Tylean sent to you, amandel, without a pw and also using "understand" as that was bolded on the Zurkpert page as well as some other words. The only thing I hadn't tried was the script with no pw, and then AUZ got it open. Rolling Eyes

Mystery solved: it's a browser thingy. Mozella and Camoflage do work with a jpeg d/l to reveal the hidden "Script Test Instruction.txt" file. IE d/ls a bitmap from the blog which will not open with Camoflage. Laughing

Huh... After reading that whole thing... I'm not sure I like Tylean... I mean, his goal does seem to be to fight an unnecessary war for revenge over something that happened 200 years ago, right?

Anyway, I know he told us to ignore the red script, but there's nothing else to work on at the moment so that's what I'm doing. Here are my findings and assumptions:

Assumption 1: The looser, more simple structure of the characters implies to me that this is the equivalent of "script", so perhaps many of the same rules will apply.

Finding 1: If you look at the original black letters, you'll find that the vowels always have a protrusion, dot, line, etc. Over head. Based on that we can assume that characters 2, 10, and 16 of the red script are vowels.

Finding 2: Character 19, the final character, appears to be an S as above, only written faster, in either a "quick form script" or an equivalent of lower case.

Assumption 2: Character 9 and 13 are the same character, modified based on word placement, and that they are "quick form" N's, related to the other N character.

Of course, there's a few things which can throw a major wrench in this line of logic... Firstly, he already told us that his characters do not always correspond to our characters. So many of these symbols may be there only to modify the word or symbol next to it. However, in the above script all the symbols are accounted for. The sole thing unfamiliar to us is that the T and H are combined into a "Thorn" as they would be in old English and certain runes. There's a second problem... The presence of that sword, the Tenchi Katana implies at least some correlation to Japan. If I recall correctly, writing in ancient Kanji (not sure if this applied to the Chinese usage, Japanese usage, or both) you needed both red and black ink, because the same symbol would have a very different meaning in red versus black, and also certain characters could only be written in red or black. To my knowledge this system is very archaic, and no longer used.

Anyway, I'm going to keep working on this, there's an online tool I found that's quite helpful for this, in case any one needs it. http://snicker.nebrwesleyan.edu/~mcclung/getCipher.html

You're probably right that aorta is what is meant, but I'm also wondering if the black lines to the things that look like polyps or the arteries at the top have meaning for us?
